People need to remember you play a class not just a spec. Unholy is super strong right now. I went fire and fae on my mage because of its strength. Gotta be flexible

This isn’t actually a thing though… my brother plays enh shammy and he’s 100% fine. Our guild has a spot for him and he’s doing #2 on the dps.
But this here… is totally true. I feel bad for leaving my alliance toons on the shelf but … well … yeah.
OP - I dunno man - play what you like. If people are spitting on you then maybe play with better people?

People love what they love and they may not love the class, just a spec, and that’s valid.
If a Shaman doesn’t want to heal they shouldn’t get roped into it just because resto is still super strong for example, being a little less efficient isn’t going to kill anyone despite what LFG may tell ya.

Our Frost Mage does just fine, though they haven’t tried to pug anything. They love the play style but it’s disheartening to them that after all of their effort and mastery (parsing 99th in Castle Nathria) they’re still under most other classes. They’ve been Frost for years and don’t want to be forced to change as it’s their comfort class.
Frost really needs some help…

The main issue is, they like how Frost feels and plays. But even playing at a super high level, the numbers just aren’t there. It feels like a tuning issue right now, honestly.

This is exactly how I feel about assassination rogue. I know sub and outlaw are better right now, but I’ve mained sin for years. I don’t wanna switch specs cause of balance, but it doesn’t feel rewarding to play it right now either.

Frost Mage has good AoE and is also ranged with good CC and good mobility.
Frost DK excels at literally nothing

Beyond poor AoE thats so bad that FDK is straight up non viable in M+10

Not one other spec in the game sucks at literally every single aspect of the game like FDK does.

Frost does feel lackluster compared to unholy so you cant really blame people for not showing interest in fdks.
I feel simular boat with blood. As a tank bdks are often most squishy when still gearing. Add low loot drops and i feel you have a recipe for bdks getting left behind in tanking.
Frost dks are 2800+ in 3s so they have something that works.
