So I will say this first. Everyone knows BFA as a ton of issues. Yet many of us remain hooked up to it. Probably a bunch tried different MMO rpgs but always come back to WoW or some just desperately wait on for Classic release.
Personally, I am not interested in going back to classic. I do love the modern WoW. Burning Crusade was a huge step from classic to me. My peraonal peak was Mist of Pandaria, combat was great. Any spec could be enjoyed. PvP had vendors and raiding was accessible to anyone with Flexible raiding. Challenge mode dungeon felt better and more rewarding then Mythic plus.
I do dislike a lot of things however. Warforged, socket forged, Titanforged. Pugging being more toxic then ever. The lack of class balancements because everything is clearly more broken then ever. PvP, lot of issue with it. Hate how everyone try to sell carries over simply playing the game like before or trying make friends or organize websites like pugfinger. The fact our class got less talents and skills then before.
However I prefer world quests over daily quests. The option to choose warmode or not is nice but I think too many people are only doing warmode for the bonus reward since most the time pvp conflict gets ignored.
So what I did? Simply put my passion for the World of Warcraft universe to work, and playing on a RP server like I did in classic days. Because I did not enjoyed the idea of farming DKP to get a piece maybe after 2-3 months during raiding.
I am many years out of the loop but I try to get back into it. Working on a characther there. It has been fun doing RP using the Elixir of Tongues to play with the Horde and dealing with all kind of personality on my own faction. It is not the most serious gameplay but it brings out the joy of warcraft.
This is what I chose to do. And I don’t regret being more laid back and having fun.
Shoutout to the gang on Wyrmrest Accord server who have one of the most down to earth playerbase.
