I have a 165 prot palie, that is a better healer than my 196 resto druid, for the simple fact that he can stay alive longer than .03 seconds, and can literally heal forever without the worry of running out of a resource. I routinely top BG healing charts on my prot, which is incredibly sad lol.
Hots are just laughable in this burst nonsense meta. Healing someone for 500 a tic, while they are getting blasted for 18k+ a GCD is just…really freaking bad game design. I’ve been playing resto since Worgens were introduced, and I can’t remember it ever being this bad…well…trinket mages I suppose, but now we have an entire BG full of trinket mages.

Get elder Druid legendary with guardian affinity and you’ll last longer. Dots don’t tick for much so you need to layer them by design. Help players taking damage by throwing a bark skin on them, cyclone and rooting non priority targets.
Case in point, go watch the match that just happened between Creed and Pirates.
As far as resto goes, been playing it since Worgens were introduced so… I know where the buttons are.

In 2s ok but not in a large group setting. Resto druids are kill targets tho bc they struggle in a burst meta. Thats the nature of hots theyll come in line more later on down the road. It could be worse ya kno i mean you could be a mw monk and oom in like 2 seconds.
