My Problems With WoW

Leveling

  • With modern wow, everything can be soloed apart from dungeons and raids you you level by spamming dungeon finder and you can go a hundred levels without saying a word to anybody. all you do is mindlessly zerg through each dungeon to get it over with. It sucks because it just feels so artificial, it feels like a single player game you dont need to talk, you dont need help, you dont need other players whatsoever. The process of leveling it to just mindlessly spam queue dungeons, you dont care if you do get a upgrade, all you care about is moving on to the next one. Thats not what dungeons should feel like.

  • Also, only difference between low level zones and max level zones are that instead of 1-3 shotting everything you 1 shot it. This results in people honestly not caring about the world, the world doesn’t feel real when you can just steamroll everything literally at level 1. Theres no sense of danger/immersion when everything has had its teeth removed so it cant hurt you.

Max Level

  • Again Blizzard keeps trying to make an MMO a single-player experience as well. Theres no gradual difficulty gain while you gear up, Everything is pretty much steamroll until you get to normal and mythic 10+. This creates inflated ilvls for people who never learned their character for these difficulty walls. So what ends up happening is the players who have passed these difficulty walls resort to addons like Raiderio to make sure the players they invite have some idea of how to do the content. So now ilvl is no longer a good indicator of player skill/progress.

Lore

  • Garrosh should have stayed Warchief until legion, he should’ve died fighting alongside Varian on the brokenshore. It would have been a great character arc for him and Varian to overcome their prejudices since wotlk and finally see each other somewhat as rivals and die as two honor bound warriors in the end.

  • Thrall Should’ve taken back the mantle of warchief in Legion. At the end of the day he has always been a leader of the horde as both a diplomat and a warrior. ditch the hobo robes and wear your armor again please. It’s hard as a horde player to feel pride in your faction when you change leaders every xpac.

  • Vol’jin Killed by Sylvanas fan fic writers.

  • Sylvanas Shouldn’t be warchief for the same reason a rogue isn’t regarded as a hero of the people. Pretty much all the horde races(aka everything alive) have conflict of interests regarding Sylvanas as a leader. Realistically every race would’ve left once they heard she was warchief. except maybe the goblins. She should stay in the shadows and operate in the shadows.

  • Basically they change their mind all the time and back pedal constantly and we end up with this weird story that makes no sense.

Sadly Blizzard dosnt read it :frowning:

Can’t say I didnt try.

 You did and thank you…

Everything is soloable because if not you’d spend forever waiting for other players to come do whatever you’re trying to do, as well as it not being worth to even call a friend to help or go to trade chat or something, you’re just going to be zipping by the levels and whatever you’re trying to get will become obsolete outside of maybe current expansion leveling.

Making dungeons harder just makes them more tedious and boring and would just make people talk even less because they just want to get it done. That’s how leveling dungeons have almost always been.

Scaling is kinda of a bummer, but the trade off for being able to do any zone from 1-60 in chunks etc is kind of worth it imo and that’s coming from someone who hates scaling. I’m VERY glad they did it in chunks vs. 1-120 scaling.

Having things hit harder in general or be harder to kill would be nice for sure, but we saw how much people complained when Blizzard tried that last time…

Garrosh shouldn’t have gone crazy, honestly. He was an amazing leader before Blizzard decided to write him off for death. Sure he was jerk-ish sometimes, but his leadership was amazing. He attained a ton of stuff for the horde and didn’t wussy foot around doing it, that’s how the horde should be.
I think him hating the alliance was great. Personally I love the no compromise, screw the alliance mentality of characters. The game is called World of WARcraft for a reason, yet BFA is the only expansion focused on the faction war… It’s a real shame it’s so bad, I waited so long for it.

Not everything has to be group oriented but give the world some teeth again. That way leveling feels a bit more real i guess. Atleast if you want to solo make it where you need to use more than a couple of abilities.

It’s not that i want it harder, I just dont think i should be able to 1-2 shot things as a lvl 1 with no gear. It makes the world feel fake and like im just along for the ride. heirlooms should be buffed if you want that experience.

My problem is that I want to like the game still but it has been on a downward slope of sucking for the last 5 years

Same here, I feel like their trump card was legion, now they got nothing.

But dw op everything wrong with modern wow will be fixed in classic.

I only want to play classic so i can see people on my realm again lol.

I think thats not going to be the case. “Classic” is going to have its share of problems and will cause much of the nostalgic player base to be unsatisfied in the long run.

Personally I hated Legion and BFA just builds on everything I hated about Legion so it’s no secret that I hate BFA more.

EDIT: I can understand why most people enjoyed Legion because of the things like the lore and Mythic+ but neither of those things mattered to me and when I put the last 3 expansions against any of the previous, it hasn’t been a good 5 years.
