Weird. I wonder why no meta lock takes it. Surely the crit is as good as the bonus fire damage on Searing Pain from Incinerate, right?
Garunteed threat on the opener for 15sec (and you can maintain that threat/damage buff full time) vs a 30% increased chance for more threat on the opener for exactly 3 searing pains every 20 seconds
Once you have the mob it’s usually pretty hard for people to rip off of you. It’s just not that good of a rune in most situations, really… What it does do wonderfully, however, is let you increase crit chance by 30% for a “burst combo” rotation of 2.5 cast spell into a 1.5 cast spell, into an instant cast spell every 20 seconds. This is great for pvp, and can be a bit more realistic for general use in leveling, where maintaining incinerate mob to mob can be less ideal.
