When speaking about WDP, everyone always mentions how it roots you, and it can cause you to die to mechanics, I say that’s easily avoidable if you just plan for it, the counter to that is well “that doesn’t do max dps”. Got it.
But when are we gonna talk about the times that WDPs root mechanic has saved us from being knocked off cliffs? Or we jump and use WDP to reposition? I mean there’s always two sides to a coin right…
Yeah pretty much. It’s a balancing issue, I myself don’t mind it, because the good I get to do with it vastly out weighs the bad.
Look at casters having to deal with Chill effects (move or take dmg).

I agree, but what annoys me is the bug that seems to happen if you don’t use it immediately sometimes.
Last night I was doing a full clear of Org Horrific vision on my monk (no masks). This very situation happened, so I decided to wait to use WDP. There was a void zone, then I had to interrupt an add, and then I had to move again. After about 4 seconds, FoF and RSK were on CD still, but WDP couldn’t be used and was no longer lit up. That is my only complaint.
I would love it if it were just an additional ability we could use and it wasn’t tied to FoF and RSK. I mean it’s great rotationally in PvE but for the most part it would be nice to use it when I want to use it.
If it wasn’t tied to the CD of FoF and RSK, it would be possible to use WDP to avoid fall damage doing world content. Would love that.
Currently i use when soloing Aggramar to avoid being thrown far.
YES! That’s one of the things i’ve thought about before when i get thrown off my mount in WPvP by that mount knock off device. “Wouldn’t it be nice if I could just WDP to avoid this death.”

I don’t know what is worse. Wdp not being baseline, wdp having the CD requirement or serenity not being viable.
You can just Zen fart after they hit you with the netomatic I do it all the time
I didn’t realize that the WDP “root” was an issue. Has people always complained about it?
It never bothered me until visions where it triggers things it really shouldn’t because it is counted as movement. I stopped talenting it in that content and run spiritual focus instead. Spiritual Focus with several Ineffable Truth corruptions and vision of perfection basically reduces SEF’s cd to nothing.

Yes but if you get hit with net while in zen flight you get a slow fall, then you don’t have to worry about it.
