I’ll repeat this issue in hopes it gets addressed.
Demon hunter has no 2nd or third dps spec to fall back on if it ever underperforming. It is unacceptable that there is still no third spec for this class when rogues and hunters can get entire specs redesigned.
Until that happens blizzard is still the same company with development that can’t agree on any major changes and issues resulting in nothing ever getting done.
I’d rather they give a different race access to the class before this. Lore be damned, I don’t want to be an elf.

I think a polearm based Hybrid Melee/Ranged dps class would be neat for DHs
There isn’t a healer that uses ‘fel’ magic yet… Blizz… C’mon. Could be really coooool.
(Now that I think about it… there isn’t a healer that uses ‘death’ magic either)
The game has so many other glaring issues that need addressed first!
I would love a more caster based DH but not sure exactly how it would work out. And I am not against other races becoming DHs but they would need to bring Illidain back and come up with a reason for him to train more. Just like how they used the new Lich King to introduce the allied race DKs in BFA.

They’ve said they plan to look into a 3rd spec, if they find one that makes sense.
They also told us during Legion beta that DHs originally had a 3rd spec, which was a healing spec, but it was scrapped when they decided it didn’t make sense. Which is why they only had 2.
Personally, I think a third ranged spec would be neat. Use Allari as a starting point - she uses a scythe and casts.
Extend eye beam to 40 yds?
specs are more likely to underperform because you have another to switch to.
It works with Draenei and Orcs without violating the Illidari timeline.
With that said I wish warriors had gladiator stance back. My goodness it was fun to play.

Yeah they should have a healing spec, true.
We are fine with 2 specs leave it that way… getting 3 specs means 1 or 2 will be not viable so no!
