Someone took my name during the 36 minutes I Was stuck attempting to log into the server. Blizzard you REALLY messed up here.
I think the only way to solve this issue now is to give me this person’s character name in Retail and we must duel. Whoever wins this deathmatch actually gets to keep the name.
Otherwise I am claiming this is some dirty underhanded attack by a troll who merely reserved the name so I couldn’t have it. And quite honestly this is an issue that will result in my not playing Classic if it cannot be resolved.

Honestly now I will just do like everyone else and use alt characters to make my name but they had better not flag me for rename because I use a é or whatever

I guess that sense is true, but if they are just creating the character to snipe the name and have no intention of ever playing it, then shame on them. Sort of like getting an Epic only to vendor it when someone else in the group could have upgraded with it.

It wasn’t “your” name. It sucks to not get the name you want, but no one was guaranteed anything.

this is some classic entitled behavior right here. You are not the only person who wants X name(s) and trying to claim you are is ridiculous. Just accept it and move on. Not everyone gets what they want

Its life. I didn’t get all mine I wanted. But hey, that’s the way things are. Sucks, yeah. Can I do anything about it, no. No point in complaining and raging over it. Worry about things you can control, not about things you can’t.
