My macros and settings change back when i log off

Hi,

Every time I log off and then on again my macros and interface settings get deleted, I have to every time change a lot of things, redo all my macros…its very annoying. Why is this happening?

Mine are too, the macros are being straight up deleted when I log off.

You may need to check the install location for your addons if they’re…missing. The other thing is you Have to use the “Logout” button after making changes to save them for future log ins. Exiting the game or closing the client will not save your settings properly.

that is not the issue, i have exited via both the log out and the exit game option and my chat settings and Macros are gone. no addons installed

Hi, thanks for your response, I don’t use addons, the problem im having is with MACROS, I have heard from few people with this issue.

Blizzard can you at least say when are you going to fix this, this IS a game breaker , I use a lot of macros and redoing them every single time I enter the game is very frustrating, even more frustrating that waiting in que for more than 3 hours.

I would be 100% sure to use the /logout the second you have clicked the save for your macro to see if it saved after a log in.

You don’t even need to set up a full macro, just type anything into the macro box, set an icon and a name, save, logout and log back in to check if it’s still there.

If it is not then you have something else going on I cannot explain, but it could be related to your WTF folder either not saving right or it’s being reset upon every log in because it has to recreate your WTF each time. If that’s happening you should be able to see multiple WTF folders in your WoW files or recycling bin.

I have all the same problems listed above exactly as described, i checked for multiple wtf files but found only one

i take few hour to set some macro
i just comeback in the game everything is delete :frowning:

update i think after my macro is done i get afk and get dc that why my macro dont save

remake macro log out and comeback in the game macro are there

Sorry abour the necro, but I have only just come across this topic.

I’ve had this problem before. What fixed it for me was to start running the game as administrator. Apparently, if you don’t give the game administrator permission, it won’t be able to save the changes you made.
