A few years ago, i decided to try out the Call of the scarab event because of boredom. It didnt take very long before I got my own fancy Red Qiraji War Tank, and pretty much spent the entire whole 10 minutes riding around on it in orgrimmar (TEN MINUTES!) until the novelty wore off and I went back to using good ol’ Travel form. I assumed that once the event was over, the item would disappear and and that was the end of that…

So i thought.

Weeks later I noticed that the big old red scarab was still in my bags. At first I thought that it would not work and simply give me an error message stating that its not The call of the scarab event anymore, and vanish afterwards.

To my surprise it did NOT disappear AND I can still use it.

So, for the past 4 years (or so), I can summon my Red Qiraji mount anywhere that allows mounts and at any time regardless of the micro event. My special Mount now adorns my action bar and is the coolest mount I have or anyone has ever had.

Well, now that you’ve told Blizz about your fun… You know how they feel about fun. I hope they don’t kill it now.

I think 4 years is long enough. Im sure the little guy misses his buddies.

A lot of people seemed to miss this, during/after the event. It was the same way last year. It is also very easy/quick to get. It is also very highly detailed and cool looking (more like the updated model of the “Sentinel” bug things.)

So they won’t “kill it”, since they already knew. The time limit is REAL TIME played. So if you got it on some alt you hardly play, you’d have the thing until the event next year (and more.)

I quite like mine, since I’ve still had no luck getting the Archaeology one.
