My least favorite end-game content is Raiding - Change my mind

Too many mechanics?? I’m sort of new to raids etc so can you explain, how the last two raids were too mechanic heavy vs other raids?

@holyeyes yeah people like you. you clearly know what I mean when I say most people don’t care about story yet you pretend that that means no one cares about the story. In other words, you’re choosing to be ignorant just to make my argument seem weaker.

It’s horrifically time consuming. They could add a shortcut so that each runback is not so disheartening.

They didnt use Arthas to get people on board… How old are you? We have been following the story from classic through wrath since its birth in “warcraft” the actual game all the way through warcraft 3… They simply followed the story of the original game. You know there was a warcraft before world of warcraft right?

They did use Arthas. Of course it was part of the story but they didn’t have to go to northrend. they could have waited for more expansions and then brought out Arthas to bring people back to WoW but they saw their opportunity (high subscriber numbers) and they decided that 2008 was a good time for Arthas.

No… You are doing that yourself.

For me my least favorite end game content is M+. I don’t like excessive trash and most AoE rotations bore me. I think I’d like it better if it was just a four room dungeon everytime with random bosses. No trash.

I think it’s time flex raiding scales to 5 tho because right now raiding is irrelevant below mythic because of how much easier and time efficient keys are.

Please stop replying to me I’m blocking you because all you’re doing is arguing for no reason.

HOW! He WAS the whole story of Warcraft 3… They didnt use him, they followed the actual game! He was the next step, he wasnt just snatched out of thin air, he was the natural progression of the story.

It being the peak means it also was when subscriptions stopped growing. Whereas you look at something like Legion, and even though the peak was lower, it was growing the player-base during its run.

Side-note: Even Wrath Classic is adding Titan Mode dungeon difficulties to keep 5-man content alive post-launch and it is content the players are anticipating.

No he was not the whole story of WC3. You must have forgotten a lot. He was about 1/3 of WC3 and Frozen throne.

Mostly because there’s no timer attached and most people would rather redo dungeons than daily quests for catch up gear.

There’s a happy medium. Your kind of raiding environment sounds miserable. You know it’s supposed to be fun, right?

Legion > WOTLK then it seems

Did Legion add M+ too?? Legion is by far the best expansion if so. After all, expansions are supposed to add things to the game especially things that “stick”/‘stay” part of the game. Most expansions we do the content then never return, at least Legion added M+ which is the best addition to WoW since Vanilla.

You could argue DF is good cause it “added” talent trees.

He was 1/2 of the story of ROC and 6/7 the story of TFT. Warcraft 3 was largely about Arthas, I don’t know what you’re on about TBH.

He was not 6/7 of the story in TFT. There’s three campaigns and he’s the hero in one of them.

Or did you forget all the illidan stuff with Kael and Vashj and then the NE stuff with maiev?

So if we take them all

There’s 7

3 of which involved Arthas so at most there’s about 42% of the game is about Arthas. Not 6/7 and not half.

This is the way.

I also hate raiding, but just because I am so anti-authority that if someone tells me what to do I will politely and cheerfully do the opposite. I’ve always been this way. School was interesting.

The Night Elf Campaign was about Arthas via proxy. Maiev was hunting Illidan who was hunting the Lich King. The Blood Elf campaign was about escaping from the Lich King’s forces to rally in Outland to regroup and take the fight to the Lich King. And then the Undead campaign was the Undead campaign which was about the Lich King and Arthas.

Only the Orc stuff was disconnected from that. The expansion is literally called “The Frozen Throne”. But the Orc campaign was not a full campaign, more like half a campaign, hence 6/7.

I guess you missed lots of important stuff in TFT then. You didn’t notice all the signs that Illidan was the main character as well as Arthas?

They realized people really liked Illidan and Arthas in Reign of Chaos and they jumped on that and used them more in TFT and then WoW. WoW was at like 8M subs when they released WOTLK, they knew what they were doing. They could easily have postponed WOTLK another expansion+ if they wanted to wait for more subscribers but they knew that WOTLK // Arthas would add millions of subs so why wait?

Honestly they probably should have waited and made the lich king even more threatening but they never do 2 part expansions (i.e. the big baddie is NOT defeated at the end of the expansion and actually “gets away” and then is defeated in the next expansion)

you never held the light for your dad did you?

Dude made a post just to argue with people and then blocks people claiming they are arguing for the sake of arguing, the irony.

I doubt they’ll see reason.
