My ISP said they were experiencing a service interruption. They texted me that it was restored at 4am. Youtube, instagram, browsing and downloading seems fine, but on WoW…
I am getting complete freezes for 6 seconds+ where the only thing that works is chat. Also my ASDW keys do not move me during this time. Not even client side, when I come back from the freeze, everyone else has moved but I am still in the same spot. Also 2900ms+. Besides calling comcast, what can I do to fight this? I’ve restarted my modem and router twice but it does not help.
It really depends on where that outage might be. If you have access to a VPN, you can try that out, but there’s no guarantee that it will work. If resetting your router (and modem if they’re separate devices) didn’t do anything, then contacting your provider is likely your best bet.
So, I had my phone in hotspot mode and wow decided to piggy back my phone, while my stream on twitch was using my comcast internet(I think?) What the hell? Lol. Not sure if this solved it.
If a VPN corrects the problem, then the problem is on the ISP network. But yeah, sounds like you were using a hotspot, which would throttle gaming and streaming traffic.
I had a similar issue, Apple, in their infinite wisdom, turned on the phone hot spot option during one of their last updates, so if I had to reboot my router, my computer would pick up the phone instead. Took me an hour to figure out what was going on
