Did this happen to anyone else? I just logged in after the hotfix today, and the couple of saved Layouts I’d worked hours on yesterday have been wiped out, and my character has been defaulted to the “Modern” default layout.
This is not cool. I just don’t want to go through all the tweaks I’d spent time on yesterday, all over again!!!
Lots of things are missing, such as dragons on the login screen.
I logged in after reading this, and saw the update needing to be downloaded and installed.
I waited apprehensively.
But when I logged in, everything was as it should be.
Are you using an addon that might have broken with this minor fix Blizz installed?
This happened to me on my Druid. Luckily my layout was still saved under the name i named it…I just had to switch to it. Maybe yours is still there if you saved it?
Nope. I disabled all addons, reloaded UI. Went into HUD Edit Mode. I had created 3 layouts and saved them yesterday, applied them with no problem on 4 different characters. Now all of them are gone…
I’ll come back and let you know how all my other alts are.
Maybe some of them lost the layouts too.
Maybe we can figure out what they have in common.
I just checked on all the characters I’d worked on yesterday. None of them have retained the layouts I had applied, and all of those saved layouts have been erased. The only 2 showing in the Edit Mode are Modern (preset) and Classic (preset).
Edit: The only difference I can discern between Modern and Classic layouts is that the Character and Target Frames were moved, from top left to either side of the screen. Nothing else. That’s indicative of a rushed, get-it-out-now kind of approach, IMO. And I though that PTR was the time they gave themselves to shake things out and take care of the bugs. Oh well…
