Very few words to describe how things went down today. For the last few weeks my guild has put in a lot of time, effort, gold and resources to try and get a 1st clear or at least be in the top 5. Activated HM killed Skeram in 10 seconds and our fate was sealed. We feel robbed and cheated. Even if they do a roll back (which they definitely wont) and warcraftlogs purges all reports till tuesday then its over for us.
Its just un-real to me that after 20 years you guys would have a handle on stuff like this but you STILL manage to make major mistakes and then do NOTHING about it. Where is your pride as game developers? Do you guys just not care or find this kind of thing funny? People are paying money to play YOUR game. Calling blizzard a indie company is a insult to indie companies.

couldn’t complete my raid as well due to another bug. for a 20 year old raid, that’s been released a few times, a few weeks of PTR testing, there really isn’t an excuse. rollback is warranted after the raid and t2 debacle.

let the record show, that I am sorry for your experience. It sucks to ruin an event that you prepare for.

I think the dev team is just so split right now and they are launching additional game modes with probably no staff to help them. Usually is poor management, the devs are probably working overtime shortstaffed. Just saying, I think your criticism is a bit harsh.

Same with my guild, many of us took the day off for prep and to be there first moment possible. Only response we got was that they were aware, looking into it and to watch the forums.
Feels bad.

I can hear the frustration and disappointment in your words, my friend. Sucks.
I do think Blizzard has a responsibility to not make major content updates accessible until they are confident it has been confirmed/tested in the live environment. Even if that means delays.
The PTR vendor being there is a clear indicator that testing was not done to the right standards.
Good call out here.

Blizzard had one thing to do, have an actual PTR before dropping the launch and fix any mistakes in the PTR. What did we all get instead?
A raid so easy even toddlers could clear it, yet hardly any loot or completely butchered loot from those instances if you did it prior to the mass DC.
There was no explaination for the chests really from Blizzard and any given ML/LM had to scramble on how to potentially get loot without someone opening a chest in narnia. We lost 2 BiS pieces basically + more potentially BiS loot ontop to that to OS players instead of MS. Considering how Blizzard has dealt with loot award failures in the past there is realistically no chance guilds will get any loot back, even if you open up multiple tickets and what not.
People already claim on Fight Club / Warrior Discord that they stealth removed IDs from people/guilds that ran the instance the second it opened. But actually checking said claim it was just not true.
If this same clownfiesta happens in Naxx, then there is truly no hope left for the people working on SoD to keep their jobs. This is utterly disgraceful considering those are basic things to do whenever they launch or re-launch a raid.
Not to mention the fact that certain aspects of the game are truly not balanced at all… PvP shamans is utterly busted and still needs severe nerfs to make them actually more fair instead just having 1 counter, or the argument about Hardiness/WoTF.
5 versions of the game btw… they can’t keep up with the very few people they have anymore.

Yeah isn’t the Classic Dev team like 20% of the size of the Retail Dev team last we heard? And now they’re expected to deal with 5 times more versions of WoW than Retail is. Lmao, what a crapshoot.

That sucks. This is why I quit SoD a long time ago, incompetent team working on it.
As soon as the P3 exploit early exploit often gold from quests went down and any person with a job lost out big time, I knew SoD was going to go downhill.
No one calls Blizzard an indie company seriously. It’s a joke.
Calm the … down. Go touch some grass. video games have issues, so what?

This is the real issue, and to think… this same team is developing the fabled classic+ that will “rescue” wow forever and ever…
We couldnt finish our aq40 either as Princess HUHU was perma frenzied the entire fight. She wouldnt enrage so we could only guess when to tranq, and even then she would keep spamming poison bolt. Her melee attack was every .3 seconds.
I’m a bit confused, is this for hardcore?
I assume it was some kind of exploit to kill that boss in 10 seconds. Well that sucks. It is what I can expect from Blizzard though. They never playtest their game, let bots infest it heavily, and often the first release of something is when people exploit it before a fix. Gotta expect anything that can go wrong to just go wrong and this is why I would never play this game to try and be world first at anything, because there will likely be some exploiter to get that title first anyway.
Oh well…you missed out on a realm first for 20 year old content…

Classic wow pulls in a ton of money. Im sure they can see the stats on how many people pay for subs and dont even touch retail. Blizzard is just an awful company in every catagory starting with talent and going all the way to greed.
Classic subscribers is a mere fraction of retail subscribers.
