My gpu is not even close to the recommended for shadowlands. is worth buy the expansion?

wow SL recommends a 2600x, 8 gb ram, gtx 1080 (really?)

i have ryzen 5 3600, gtx 1650 super, 16gb ram

im afraid if i will not be able to run bgs or raids

what do you think?

Those are some complex words man

I have no idea nor do I know what any of that means

So idk why I’m even commenting here

It will run fine.

No way in heck WoW requires a 1080. Blizzard has a tendency to exaggerate their recommended system specifications.

Seriously though, a 1080 is better than what 90% of their playerbase has. You’re more than fine.

thats likely for at least middle of the road settings, if not higher.
Im not replacing anything till I see how it runs.
SSAO entirely off saves a buttload of FPS.

The requirement is a 760 (for NVidia). The 1080 is recommended.

You might have to turn down the more graphically intense options (eg. shadows) but you’ll be fine.

As a side note, here’s the link to their required/recommended specs for anyone interested.

Miss this bit?

If you use the graphic scale, the game recommends a “7” (at least for me) so that’s likely the specs to run at that recommended level.

I used the words I did to try and help alleviate the fellow’s fears that his computer wouldn’t run it.

I.e. I said what I meant and then specified that about the recommended specs in the second sentence.

Quit being cute. lol

Even with all the new shader options and other graphics settings, WoW’s engine is still heavily reliant on CPU over GPU. And yours is better than their recommended.

Why are you running that GPU with that processor? You are bottle necking hard.

This right here, WoW is ancient in terms of how it is programmed. A stronger CPU will be more beneficial than a super strong GPU. Particularly if said CPU has strong single core power.
Don’t follow the recommendations, they are not at all accurate.

the gtx 1650 super performs like rx 590 or gtx 1060 6gb

maybe you are confused with gtx 1650 (no super)

uh…REQUIRES an SSD?

"Solid State Drive (SSD)
100GB available space "

That might not go down well, lol

That is for ‘optimal’ usage as they are introducing ray tracing and other tech and just updating graphics so it’ll take a hit.

You should be fine as long as you don’t have what I have which doesn’t even meet minimum for BFA but I still was able to run it just not optimally.

Dude, if you’re unsure, just go to canirunit com, they’ll run your PC specs versus minimum and recommended specs.

This game won’t require an SSD, although you really ought to get one. They’re still fairly cheap and are a huge quality of life improvement.

@OP: 1650 Super will be just fine for Shadowlands.
