So my main goal is to unlock the Vulpera race because I love them and that’s the primary reason I’ve come to this game. I grinded through all the Vol’Dun questlines and have now just been doing dailies like wild with the voldunai contract.
I thought flying would help a lot, because honestly walking around the zone SUCKS with how much aggro I get
But I checked requirements for flying and it’s just… … … a lot. So much that I genuinely now have second guessed if trying to unlock Vulpera/flying is even worth it… I admit I am a bit scared off when I saw ALL those requirements.
What should I even be doing to maximize how fast I get Vulpera?
I am not happy with the idea of doing all that grinding on this fake character, this… orc
I’d probably be way more up for this grind if I was on a character I actually considered to be my character, the Vulpera… But playing on this orc just feels so hollow/empty.
I’d say unlock Vulpera and don’t worry about flight. Just play the game as your new Fox and if flight comes great, if it doesn’t, when Shadowlands gets here it’ll be pointless anyway since you will be grounded for a year plus there.
flying really wasn’t that bad… it literally is about a month worth of playtime, at like 2 hours a day. you’ve had almost a year since pathfinder part 2 has been available. if your not going to grind the flight then that’s on you.
as for vulpera. if that is the race you want. then put in the time to get it. simple easy answer. look at the calender for the weeks that the bonus is world quests (I think there is one coming up first week in april) and just go extra hard that week. do the vulpera emmisarry’s when they come up (1500 rep for 4 wq’s is easy money)
Don’t forget reputation contracts. Look on the AH for a Voldunai contract and you’ll get a bit of rep with them for every World Quest you complete for the next 7 days.
Just be careful you don’t accidentally remove the buff it gives.
OP your already found the right thing. I did the same as you along with contracts, WC, and emissary. If your concerned about aggro, try and find questing groups. There are alot out there right now benefiting by the exp buff. A lot of players have double carry mounts so maybe you can fly with them!
I got Exalted with all of the original BFA reputations before flight was available. Just tough it out, and use your Flight Master’s Whistle when you need to go somewhere far away.
Just unlock the allied race and then focus upon unlocking flight while playing them. It will still be fast than trying to get flight first and you can then later do that part on a character you want to play.
I did it without flying (as I’m sure many have.) It’s not the travel, it’s the gated rep that slows you down.
I just ended up doing every possible vol’dun WQ that was available. Of course, targeting the ones with voldunai rep tokens. As well as targeting missions on the mission board that rewarded vol’dun rep.
Getting a contract helps a ton I’m sure, but I was just below revered when I actually focused on finishing, so I never bothered.
I don’t think this player has been around for ‘more than a year’ to get Pathfinder passively, based on them saying Vulpera is ‘the primary reason’ they’re playing.
Someone in my guild still doesn’t have BFA flight and yet that doesn’t stop him from enjoying raids and mythic+ content. The funny part is they have been playing all of BFA and they are a human
What others have said for gaining rep, this page lists them all in one place:
Another one that wasn’t specifically mentioned (but was included when saying to do world quests) is the assaults specifically when it is the Vol’dun one.
It is also possible (though possibly mind numbing) to ‘grind’ island expeditions for rep.
I would personally recommend just doing the things Gatecrash mentioned (world quests with contract on, checking mission board for Voldunai tokens, emissary, and vol’dun assaults) as that wouldn’t cause burnout as much as doing that however
Never did it myself and went to classic most of the time, people who say getting exalted with every rep “is fine” are crazy. If some people like 100 hours of /played time just to fly then okay I guess.
