My Frost DK is not doing good damage with 2H weapon

This is a post I’m creating to possibly help other frost DKs in The War Within 11.2 patch.

If you are using a 2H weapon and your Damage seems very, very low, especially to what you may be simulating at, make sure you *ARE NOT T-MOGING YOUR 2H TO LOOK LIKE YOUR LEGION ARTIFACT WEAPONS

No I’m not trolling - if you T-mog your 2H wep to look like your legion artifact dual wielding weapons, there is a bug that makes your Obliterate hit for literally 0.

Example, I was simmed for doing 3.4M single target but I was only doing 1.4M single target. I was using the DW artifact T mog. It was told to me on the DK Discord from wow head this might be an issue if I was, so I change the tmog, go to the training dummy, and to my astonishment, I was suddenly doing 3.1M single target.

If you aren’t using the t mog and your single target is still low then sorry, keep trying and learning. But I was plagued by this cause I was beating everyone in AoE, but hitting like a pool noodle in single target even though I was following the rotation and priority as flawless as possible.

So hopefully this helps anyone that googles why… and Blizz, FIX THIS PLEASE

Thank you for this. I had done this exact same thing and have been wracking my brains all week trying to figure out what was wrong. I ended up deleting my wtf and cache folders, thus resetting my profile and still no go. I was going nuts fighting with this versus pushing keys all week at the start of a new season. I transmogged my weapon back to a two hander and everything is back to normal. What a weird thing to have happen. I swear I’ve lost 30-40 hours to this silly thing so far.

Frost DK - artifact transmog breaks melee abilities

I saw someone post about this earlier but only thought to check it a few minutes before server shutdown. But it seems that if you transmog the frost DK artifact appearance over a 2 handed weapon, your melee abilities no longer work. No error message to say they won’t work. The animation still happens. But no damage comes out, and no record of the ability shows in the damage log, Spells still seem to work and do damage. Hopefully this has already been identified during this past week and gets re…

I wonder if this is related to 2H artifact weapons being moggable on 1h weapons, on other classes?

I have a Monk, I swap him between WW and BrM, regularly.

He has two 1H weapons, but I keep him transmogged to his 2H BrM staff from Legion.

Even as WW, I could use that mog, and with two weapons no less.

As of 11.2, I was no longer able to do this, unless I am in BrM spec.

Could be related?

Some weird transmog thing, for sure.

It’s straight-up not letting me mog like before, but damage is unaffected.

Needs fixed!
