My First Dastardly Duo - Embarassing!

Not having done it before, I really had no idea what to expect. I queued and immediately got the call and entered. I didn’t really look that closely at the group. I grabbed the food and the potion and then looked around for a prop to damage. Not seeing one, I asked the group “Anyone know where the prop is that you have to damage?” No response from anyone. I thought that was odd. So I said “OK, is everyone ready?” Again, no response. So I figured, screw it, I’ll just start the event. We go inside and that’s when I realized, it was a “follower” group.

To be fair to you, it did sound like by the description it would be a random queue system, with NPCs making up for the shortages.

But no, that’s pretty funny!

It would have been more disturbing if they had answered you…:robot:

So they are about at talkative as your average group of PCs?

A hunter huh? Story checks out.

The sad part is, the followers are actually better at their roles than the actual people…

Um, not to sound like I’m old (though I am lol) where does one find these Dastardly Duo things?

Look on the map in Dorn, you’ll see a jester face icon in the south east of the city.

AI party vote kicks player out.

At least the follower group didn’t kick your for asking a question.

Your queue popped instantly as DPS, was that not enough of a clue as to the nature of the “group” you received?

You’re so smart.

Tell me about it .

My first try was without them (Planned on using pet via unbreakable bond)

Pet kept despawning and I kept getting my face smashed in like I was being pounded inthe ground Like Loki by The Hulk in Avengers.

Went back and used the npcs.

I think for it to be a player group you may have to do an actual premade group .

The event is a 1-5 Player instance with Follower NPCs filling any open spot to create a 5-man party. With the first week of the event, there will be four bosses to fight with a new boss added with each week of the event. With each instance, players will fight two (or more) bosses.

Yeah if you que solo the open spots will fill with NPCs so if you want an actuazl player group you need to form one.

I have “lost,” with 3 minutes on the timer and no one dead

My followers run to the 4 corners of the starting area as soon as they spawn. The Mage put the food table inside of a wall so it wasn’t even clickable. /sigh

Yea i did the same thing, i thot it was 4 other real players lmao
