My Experience

I play World of Warcraft since Vanilla, and i seen every Expansion on Launch. I still play BfA right now, but it starts to wear at me.
8.2 dropped, and the only thing it brought with the two new zones and the Raid is more World Quest Farming.
Especially those Essences … they feel extremely like Skinnerbox like Incentives to do content … ever since people complained in Warlords of Draenor “there is no content” Ion Hazzikostas seems to be on a crusade to give players something to do … even if that is to make them redo the same thing over and over.
Instead to add two new Zones(Mechagon and Nazjatar) and make them huge … and add allot new World Quests in those, making the other Kul Tiras and Zandalar Emissary Dailies obsolete … they just updated them with better rewards for the exact same chore i already did for one year and am at this point so super sick and tired of.

But, to the point. I started to play Classic, like so many. You can see how far away WoW moved from its roots. While Classic’s combat is slow, more relaxed … the Combat we have in Retail fast. But i have to say, i do not enjoy Raiding in Battle for Azeroth as much as i enjoyed it in Vanilla, Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King.

Just look at what Raiding is right now, Bosses throw out so much confusing stuff , i just say the Edicts of Azshara where i literally have to either use a addon or mouse over the Edict to know what i am supposed to do.w
That and i miss the old days, where the last boss was not just a milestone to get Ahead of the Curve … i miss the time when you actually cleared a Raid once a week.
Now the Last Boss … and sometimes other bosses, are such a pain to kill that allot Raids choose to skip it, a pure show off Boss.

In Classic the first thing i enjoy deeply is the slow peace. I not necessarily like that i have no Mount to ride around but the Combat as Mage without Haste feels good. Yes it is allot Spam Frost Bolt … but to be honest i do not need all of those secondary resources and complicated mechanics WoW has right now in BfA to have fun.

So, now i sit here … wanting to play my Monk and starting to have fun playing a Unholy Death Knight , but i shudder at the fact that every day i feel forced to go online, do Daily WQs that are not fun anymore and am at the edge of a decision.
Should i just say Screw it and stop to play BfA altogether, throwing myself at Classic again … knowing that i will have a way better time then i have in Retail?

What i would like to hear from you fellow Classic Players is … do you come from BfA like me? Are you tired of that as well? Or did you just resub to get right a good whiff of that old WoW experience?

I played BFA for like a month at the start of the expansion before getting bored and signing off. I played Legion for about 4 months at the start of that expansion before doing the same thing. I’m having fun with Classic but I imagine that I’ll stop playing that in a month or two as well.

MMOs just can’t hold my attention anymore, I think. The repetition really gets to me.

I never played vanilla, I just wanted to see what all the fuzz is about, and I don’t see it yet.

I walk 500 hundred miles…

I can understand you, fully. Legion started that skinnerbox World Quest crap …
But in Classic though there are only so many Dungeons you will run at max level … it is not like doing the same World Quests over and over … and over.

That’s why we called it back then World of Walking … but the main focus is not to play solo … you need to team up with people, comunicate.

I chose classic.
Retail lost me long time ago.
