My experience with boosted M15

Hi,

So, I bought two M15 run from one of the people spamming in chat. This was my experience with them.

  • Very business like. The person in chat gathered a team and told them what discord channel to go to. I wasnt in the discord with them, nor did i need to be.

  • The same person in chat told them to give me all loot at the end of the run, which they did. However, if it was one of their bis i wont have been mad if they kept it. They did give me everything. Even things i didnt need.

  • The players in the group were no better skill wise than me. I moved out of the fire a lot more than they did. The addon that calls people out backs me up on that.

  • What the players did have is this: They were better geared, they were in discord together, and they could not rage quit if we wiped. That is all. They were not any different then me in any other way.

So basically, you are paying for friends that will play the game with you the moment you want to do something. Thats really it.

Thanks for listening.

At first, I thought this thread title was “My experience with boosted lvl15” and I was really confused, lol.

No, that’s what you’re doing. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Was it worth it?

How much are runs going for? I know by server it varies but curious to see how much you paid for it.

I would like to purchase friends

It can get expensive. You are paying about 15 dollars in gold to go on one of these runs.

The plus side is that you will have a 15 key next week in the vault. Which I did have and I used to form my own group. That group timed the run and this week ill have a ilvl 252 in the vault again and another 15 key.

So, if you look at it like a jump start then i guess that is fine.

I am still have issues with the whole thing though. Mainly, the cost and not just putting in more energy into just making friends.

Now that you have a couple of fifteens under your belt you will find it much easier to get into pugs or ur own keys with that io boost

145,000 gold on Area 52.

I think it was 140,000 on Stormrage.

I did one alliance and one horde.

Hmm higher then I wouldve guessed. Then again been awhile since ive sold runs.

I miss when LFD was more of a thing than buying carries for patch relevant rewards.

You should buy a +20 from me

I saw someone advertising on my server’s trade chat earlier, selling a +20 for 615k. :flushed:

I haven’t made a friend on WoW for over a year. I still get stuff done. Sure, there is the existential dread every now and then, but talking to myself helps.

Right.

And honestly, I see nothing wrong with it if youve got the gold.

I agree that it should be allowed in the game. I believe in the freedom to do what you want with the gold you earn or purchase from Blizzard.

I do think that you have to ask yourself, “why i am paying to gear up?”.

Is it to just get a boost so that groups will take you? Is it to make questing faster? What is your goal with the gear and score you are purchasing to get.

That I can kinda see needing to be high. Assuming their selling it for in time so you get the portal. Having to carry someone who is dead weight at a 20 is I’d imagine no easy thing to do.

hey!

just a note: a lot of the stuff they’re not moving out of…they don’t need to. As a geared tank, in a +15 I often don’t bother to dodge X or Y, because… I don’t need to. it’s not going to hurt, it’s probably not even going to dent the absorb I’ve built up with my legendary.

but, that aside - even high io players make mistakes

I buy the occasional run, and sometimes I do it because my friends aren’t on, or it’s 10pm on a monday night and I realize I’ve forgotten to run a key on an alt, or I otherwise just can’t be bothered.

Well, ive only gotten paid (gold) runs a couple times in my history of playing wow, and that usually amounted to end of expansion cycle for the mounts or achievements, it was never really for gearing.

BUT, my reason would be FAR more superficial than even that, it would be because when im out in open world i just love feeling powerful! I know it sounds stupid and probably is, but im super casual so for me, its just a dumb reason

I’ve made many friends in the last year, sometimes it was like having a new best friend, we laughed and had a great time and it ended the way it always does, the next morning, we never talked again. I tried a few times to chat the next day, but replies were 1 or 2 words after a long wait, like I didn’t exist, like I knew would happen.

Now I just assume all friendships in WoW are a one night stand.

Well, I can tell you why I gear up for free. Me like purple and orange words. Make high numbers. Make me feel strong man. Me want be like world first. Look at me transmog. Me skilled player.

Yeah basically. Most people I meet on WoW or pretty much anywhere, last about a month before they lose interest in me. I must just be boring or something.

It’s okay. When you realize that everyone is like that, you become your own best friend and it makes you more comfortable being alone. I’m tired of adopting puppies that just die in a month, you know?

Basically buying a 15+ carry is pointless.
