Hi all,
My name is Juulwrld, I’m an officer from the Tang Dynasty guild @ Kirtonos.
My ex-GM was also responsible for managing the guild bank since last November, mostly on his alt. He ninja’d around 30k gold plus some mats when he left the guild, then server transferred to Blaumeux with his friends.
Guild bank income source:
- Weekly raid: DPS had to turn in 40g (loot money from BWL+ MC raid bosses), with 36 wks of raid 1 & raid 2 BWL+MC , guild bank had 25128g income from this source. This money goes to one of our officers then that officer mails to guild bank, all records are in our guild’s discord.
- ZG GDKP runs: Our guild takes 10% cut from ZG’s GDKP runs, and all ZG runs in the guild are GDKP, tiger mount was sold for 25500g, and Touch of Chaos / Cloak of Consumption 's prices were ~ 2k. This was only partially recorded in guild discord and it goes to guild bank via ZG organizers.
- MC’s BOEs, guildie donations: MC BOEs were sold to raiders or on AH, money goes directly to guild bank, and guildies have donated a ton of mats to prepare for AQ40. This, however, was not officially recorded.
Guild bank expenses:
Guild bank spent almost every single dime on consumes like flasks, mongoose, mana pots, for raiders on BWL release, and we had 1k left. After Nef’s dead, basically nothing, our first and only TF’s mats were mostly paid by guildies, the guild bank paid 40 ish Arcanite Bars. Our guild has never spent any gold on other craftable items.
The 30k was meant to pay for both raids’ consumables in AQ40, flasks included, just like BWL
When ex-GM first left the guild in early August, he refused to return the guild fund to TD officers, later he returned only 7k gold, 6 flasks and some MC mats like Essence of Fire.
I’m posting to ask my fellow WOW players, where exactly do I submit a ticket for ninja gold report? I have found the ninja-loot option but I not sure if this applies to the category.
Update: Moved to Wow classic forum, and deleted names mentioned above.
Update: A lot of you guys think the loot money is bs, it’s fine. You guys ain’t in the guild so you dont have to agree with any rules mentioned above. Just saying if thats how you determine we deserve to get stolen or not, you guys are disgustingly toxic.
For those of you asking why the bank is hoarding this much money for nothing: the guild fund was originally planned for both raids’ AQ40 consumables, flasks included.
It’s 30k though :\
Technically since he had access he had the right to take what he wants (as distasteful as that is).
Better to not do call outs though man, I’m sorry they did that to you guys.

This is not even a classic forum. And you’re not allowed to call names on forum anyway. Contact support or something

He had access to the funds. He didn’t do anything ban worthy. He was the GM. And you’re about to get banned for calling someone out on the forums. lol

My first thought was immediately to laugh at server transferring over 30k gold. But then I saw you’re a classic player, which makes it a less silly amount of gold.
But that being said, you’re basically SoL. As far as Blizzard is concerned, the guild bank is the property of the GM, and if they (or anyone else really) has the permission to take everything and just scoot, well not a whole lot you can really do about it.

I was about to laugh when I saw 30k but after reading I realize we mean Classic.
Oof.

I don’t expect everyone to have empathy, but lol.
Eh, he’s right.
Precedence is pretty clear on these kind of things. Blizzard won’t do anything to punish the ninja-looter in this instance, they only mediate loot disputes when someone very clearly breaks established rules.
And calling people out by name on the forum will get you punished, or at the very least your thread deleted or edited. It’s a bit of a feelsbad, but not a whole lot that any of us can do for you mate.

The people that raided with you deserve to have all that gold stolen. Technically I suppose its being stolen for the second time after you stole it from them the first. Good lord who would sign up for those loot rules. Turning in the money made from bosses? You might as well have demanded they turn in all vendor greys as well.

No one deserves to have gold stolen like that. It’s not your place to judge what guild rules people were fine to play by. Lots of guilds do different things. And you’re in the minority if you think GDKP cuts are stealing.
Anyway, I thought Blizzard moderated stuff like this - since it’s pretty clear abuse. At least in retail. But maybe they don’t.

You got long-con’d.
Technically no rules were broken, support doesn’t recover items/gold and everyone involved agreed (or at least participated) to the terms set out before them.
I don’t really understand why you are complaining though? Obviously you want the gold back so it can be used by the guild. But gold was not being used to benefit the guild so the only thing you lost was the gold you chose to “donate” in the first place.
Even if it was “required” to be a raider in this guild, you still chose to be a raider in this guild.
Don’t join a guild that makes you do things you don’t want to do?

I’m not asking every single WOW players to agree with our rules.
If ppl don’t agree with the guild bank rules, they don’t have to join.
Like I said, I don’t expect everyone to have empathy, but no one except my ex-GM was stealing, all of our guildies agreed to this.
It’s not stealing if it’s their character. Guild banks weren’t added until TBC.
If he did this during TBC then there would be a public record in the guild bank of this happening. A GM would then be able to delete the items from the character that withdrew the gold/items and restore the guild bank to a previous version.
You mailed/traded items to a players character. They own everything you send to them.

I forgot to mention our guild is in ‘hibernation mode’ since ex-GM also poached us. Most of us server transferred or joined other guilds.
I’m confused - I’m not really complaining about the loot money rule, just stating the income source. I’m curious what makes you think the guild is making me do things I don’t want to do?
Sucks but pretty sure your outta luck.

I understand that now, thanks. Technically he can’t steal from his own account on Blizzard’s perspective, but it’s considered stealing for us I guess.
You trusted another player and that player betrayed your trust.
Blizzard can’t get involved. They don’t have the manpower to police the ethics of hundreds of thousands of people.
Blizzard is not “above” you and him in some hierarchy. Guild master is the top: nobody is higher. So this is like a senior politican doing something highly unethical – but without actually break any laws. We’ve all seen that happen.
Yikes.
Talking abt 45th president?
I thought the most you could transfer with on Classic was 10k gold ?
