My Complaints About WoW

Everyone seems to have their opinion about this game and what’s wrong with it. So I am going to share some of my personal opinions on the matter.

  1. Tenders should be uncapped allowing people to play the game as much as they like and collect currency that they choose to collect. If people can farm valor stones, nonstop, day in and day out with mythic plus I should be able to farm tenders.

There we go. That felt good to get off my chest. I know people were probably coming in expecting to see some big long rant about everything they think is wrong with this game. Honestly, that’s my only complaint. I know there are some minor bugs that need to be addressed. And I know other people are experiencing lag on certain servers in certain game modes. But I just want the option to earn as many tenders as other people do getting valor stones and gear. The only thing I’m getting is cosmetic stuff so it literally hurts nobody.

In fact, I would probably go one step further. In addition to unlocking tenders and allowing people to continue doing regular every day game stuff to earn them, there should also be bundles in the cash shop for people who might not have as much time to play, but who still want to collect the items from the trading post.

  • Bundle of 500 Tenders - $5.00
  • Bundle of 1,000 Tenders - $9.00
  • Bundle of 2,000 Tenders - $15.00

This way people who have more time than money can get them for free and people who have more money than time can help support the game. Well that’s really all I had to say. I really enjoy this game and have been enjoying remix immensely. Can’t wait to jump into the beta and definitely ready for player housing.

I agree. I feel like there are those of us who simply just play the game to play it on multiple characters even. It would be nice to uncap it and just continue to be rewarded for staying logged in and staying subscribed. I’m not gonna go out of my way to grind 10,000 tenders in one month but it would be nice to earn an extra five or 600 once in a while just for doing dailies or farming, old raids.

Monkey’s paw dictates that your wish is granted but they also just sell tenders outright now.

Point of tenders being limited is to keep people subscribed because each month you have a specific amount of stuff you need to do. Also you can’t buy everything…and also they’ll gift you some in a preorder or some cosmetic sale.

At the end of the day the point of tenders is for them to make money so they’ll never just let you grind them endlessly.

If the TP had good stuff other than 1-3 items I would agree. This month is probably the worst one I’ve seen so far. Giant spoon, Giant fork, Veggie weapons, pilgrim mog…. Puke… :face_vomiting:

ironically, if we could stay playing longer and earn whatever quantity we choose, that would also keep us subscribed and actively playing the game to pad their numbers for their stakeholders, even if all we were doing was farming old content, and the random objectives in the adventure journal. I also have no idea what this monkey paw thing is so you’ll forgive me for not acknowledging that part of your statement.

It’s kinda like the quote “be careful what you wish for”. The monkeys paw was a short story about a magical paw that grants wishes. Each wish was granted but had a unforseen consequence tied to each one.

How can you farm tenders lmao , you only get certain about per month,

But why make you farm it when they can sell it to you

They track and report by AMU. You play one day a month or and I play 30 we get logged the same way on their end.

Ultimately since tenders reset monthly getting you to play more because you can endlessly farm does them little as well. The whole point is you HAVE to return each month for the new thing, and they limit the amount so the need to return stays. And then when they bundle some in some sort of sale the shortage of tenders means you are more likely to buy it.

“I wish for a million dollars.”

Granted, your loved one passes away so their 1 million dollar life insurance policy is paid out to you.

IE: whatever you want or wish for will never be fulfilled in the way you intended or desired. My point is tenders is a specific system set up to monetize in a very specific way and your desire would contradict it. So the only way they’d fulfill it is by finding another way to monetize it.

well, if they remove the cap, that means I could continue doing dailies, farming, old, content, and picking any of the other items available in the adventure journal to complete for more tenders. Which means I would get to do more content and stay subscribed longer and stay signed in more until I got the quantity I was looking for. if they put bundles in the cash shop that works too. I just figured I would introduce an option that didn’t cost anyone any money.

I don’t understand why they should alter the game so that you feel less FOMO.
It’s just pixels, get over it. There are beyond thousands of different mounts and tmogs in the game. Are you really going to need them all?
Be happy with what’s available to you and just pick the Trading Post items that most stand out to you.

Ok. And then you have a few thousand people dead within a few days after that. Blizzard gets sued for Billions and gets sunsetted as a result.

there is very little of worth to spend them on, i have a couple thousand that have just been sitting for months now.

The issue isnt the amount of tender, the issue is that the quality of offerings each month has only ever gone downward. They could make things that fir the game but instead you have a carrot sword to go with your jogging suit and pot lid.

95% of the stuff I buy i never actually use

How is it altering the game? Conquest and valor caps are removed eventually. Crests are uncapped. Valorstones are uncapped. I mean, we’re saying it is ok to uncap gear catchup mechanics, but cosmetic items need a hard permanent cap?

Weird. No one has died recently grinding crests, valorstones, conquest or valor points. Not sure why the mortality rate would suddenly spike with the Trading Post.

So surely no one would object to uncapping them and letting us farm an extra 300 to buy stuff people seem to hate anyway.

Even if you could grind out 50k tenders in one month, you’d still have to login once per month to buy the monthly things on the vendor.

(I’d like to add I have a ton of tenders I never spend because most of the TP is junk for my tastes, so I don’t personally care)

People who log in once a month can only be marketed to once a month. People who log in regularly can be marketed to for that stretch of time.

I get what you’re saying to a degree, t’s not like the trading post is a direct source of income for them, but I promise you they designed it this way for a reason; they want you to come back regularly rather than find ways to take long breaks. Why do you think they pitch the 6 month/year long sub package so much? They want to create reasons for you to stick around and be around regularly because that increases their opportunities to make transactions.

Because some people are addicts. If you remove something preventing them to do something 24/7 then they’ll start doing it until they drop.

How about instead they raise the cap you can earn by about 1,000? So from 1k to 2k a month.

The whole point of the trading post is engagement pacing lol.

Like removing crest and valorstone caps for M+ gear? Tell me more about how nothing gets removed to save people’s health.
