I’ve been at this for a day now. I remember turning it off a long time ago and now I don’t remember how to turn it back on. Nobody seems to know the answer,.
you want the Macros and UI Forum.
Maybe this:
Game Menu::Options::Actions Bars::Show Numbers for Cooldowns.
I do know some CVARS (character variables that change how UI shows things) can change things…there is an addon called Advanced something something to see those (I don’t remember the name but easy to find). You can also do a full UI reset and the advanced troubleshooting option will reset your cvars to factory default, if you figure it’s cvars and cannot locate which one.
Edit: Wait you’re talking buffs. I just checked mine on a self buff from my mage and it shows cooldown numbers under it (I’m running default mostly), so perhaps a full ui reset and cvar to default is the answer. Maybe it was an older option that got removed from the options…obviously still there in the background for those who want to change it. Good luck!
Advanced Interface Options - https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/advancedinterfaceoptions
Thanks Kyzera, thats the one. With that addon you can look through the some of the various options not necessarily seen in the default GUI Options. Again, good luck and as Jetsum noted you may find better knowledge in that forum he linked.
You’re welcome.
I have the Advanced INterface Options add on and the number on the buff timer was 1
I disabled, enabled, did it again and it’s still not showing the timers on my buffs
I think awhile back I remember that it was a command line that I typed in the game to disable the timers because it was conflicting with my OmniCC add on
You would have disabled them via OmniCC. Check the rules tab in the addon.
I disabled OmniCC and still the same
I’m having no luck here
Hmm, so in Advanced Interface Options, the buff durations show as 1 (meaning ON). So the /console command probably won’t have any effect on it either.
/console buffDurations 1
/console buffDurations 0
Only other thing I can recommend would be a full UI reset (as detailed in Support article linked below) to rule out a misbehaving addon or corrupted UI.
Please note, this is not the same as disabling addons OR doing a /reload of your UI.
What specifically do you mean by buff timers
The buff icons on the top right of the screen. There’s no numbers
The commands Kyzera listed are the commands for those numbers. If the command doesn’t work, an alternative is listed as adding it directly to the config-cache.wtf file.
