Every once in a while, I find myself in one of the older zones, doing some sort of rep quest, or tracking down something, and there’s just SO MUCH UNUSED SPACE. And I don’t mean void of mobs or anything, I just mean, no one is ever there anymore.
Why is the game like this? I get it, we’ve moved on to newer and better things, and I know both MID and TLT are re-using old content, or at least redoing old content, but man, I just wish there was a world quest once in a while in these old places. Just a reason to go visit them that’s remotely current or anything beyond randomly looking for something.
Give me a real reason to move around to different parts of the world. We have these dragons (or other flying mounts), let us zip around and do diferent things. Give us some reason to fly around.
some kind of random encounter generator regardless of where you are in the game world would be cool.
Wouldn’t it be nice if they incorporated that new PREY system into the old world.

I Love random encounters, personally.
When we play table top RPGs the group always has enjoyed random too. Takes some of the feel of it all being set in stone out of it. More ‘real’.
Latest content patch sent players to both BC Nagrand and BFA Stormsong Valley.
Must be optional.
I dont want to get a wild hair and go after that rare parrot drop in STV and wind up getting ganked by an NPC because I was watching Naruto instead of paying attention.

“Ugh. I hate having to fly all over the world for these quests! Traipsing all over Azeroth to grab x of y for z is not engaging content!”
That’s one thing I’ll say Collectors Bounty did. It made the world feel ALIVE again. Seeing everyone zipping around to various dungeons and raids and actually talking in the chats about their loot luck fortunes or misfortunes was great to see. For that brief time it kinda felt like the old days. With how many zones we have now though and the player base not being 12 million deep anymore I honestly have no great solution on how to solve the issue apart from random quests bringing people there, kind of like how we had to go to other zones for the Eco Dome in Ka’resh.

personally I LOVE the dailies we had before…I wish there was TONS of stuff like that, randomly generated too, that would just pop on the map anywhere…
Makes the entire map feel alive instead of having 4 quests to do and done

yeah, they did whine about those OPTIONAL daily quests instead of just ignoring them lol
We do get those things. Just recently we were sent to the Arathi Highlands and in LeMix the artifact quests sent us all over the place.
This is what I loved about Legion, and the Secrets of Azeroth, as well as the Anniversary event quests.
