My big takeaway from Legion Remix

Is actually two-fold

1:) Since I haven’t seen a specific piece of jewelry in drops between ilvl 571 and 660 I think they might have dropped the ball not letting us upgrade jewelry or target farm specific jewelry or buy specific jewelry pieces. I’d say its surprising but this isn’t nearly as inconvenient as getting the correct legendary in legion’s official release, even if the problem is ultimately going to require the same solution.

2:) Healers aren’t nearly threatening enough. I’ve over here trying to play as a healer and they just do not do enough damage. In a world where they have actually implemented PVP specific tuning there is absolutely no reason why healers have their damage nerfed this hard. I don’t even think the person who mandated healer damage be nerfed this hard still works at blizzard. I think its time to unwind that particular design decision and make it so that if you let healers just sit there and freecast that they become a threat. Panda Remix had that one thing that made the actual healing becoming a threat which is neat, and I understand why they didn’t directly implement that, however to not even let healers become conditionally threatening is a bit of a disappointment and I wish they would take a step back and redesign at that decision at a higher level.

Do you have any big takeaways from Legion Remix?

  1. You get a free piece of jewelry every day. If you are looking for one specific item, don’t worry about BiS traits until you are at max ilvl.

  2. Healers innately don’t scale as well as DPS/tanks in the DPS department, especially since healer masteries and talents are focused more on healing throughput not damage. Healers weren’t really a “threat” in MoP remix, main differences between now and then is that the powers aren’t as simple as “Autoattack once, trigger 5 different passives that instantly delete your target”, you don’t get a free choice of passives as you go down one fixed set with RNG jewelry determining the rest and the powers themselves aren’t as high impact.

I got a mog set that I couldnt get the last piece to drop for two years lol.
4% drop rate my rump, wowhead lol

Heroic world tier needs to come to Retail.

Ellisande has a much better temporal defense in this timeline - instead of one Timelock spell, now all of Suramar is covered by a quagmire of time dampening sludge that renders all actions and creatures effectively paralyzed.

Legion remix is actively taking away any joy in getting new gear. I wasn’t a fan of the upgrade system in MOP remix, but getting an ilvl upgrade every 5 minutes ain’t it either.

how’re you managing to get one every 5 minutes?

They took the worst of MOP Remix and PlunderStorm for this game mode.

I find it hilarious myself.

Do quest. Open box, swap gear.

It is quite crazy, but Pandaria remix was the same.

We should ban all druids

Currently I feel like the fact Tanks can have such an easier time compared to DPS and especially compared to Healers is a major issue they need to figure out how to address.

I also agree that we should have a lot easier time being able to focus on a particular Trinket, Neck, or Ring so we can actually get the ones we’re looking for and either upgrade them or be able to increase our chances of finding them from drops.

I also still maintain that not releasing, entirely arbitrarily, the Mage Tower Skins as something we can either achieve or buy is a major, and stupid, mistake on Blizzards part. Even worse is them releasing the MT skins for Druids and then deciding to take them back after THEY made the mistake of adding them. Players actually liked that so that they’re digging their heels in on these appearances that are ten years old at this point and have been, for ten years, only obtainable by a small minority of people is ridiculous and stupid.

I also feel like the need to go back to Eternus for our Research is a thing they could improve? Make it so we can do all that in the field somehow. Make things much better.
