My argument for adding High Elves to the Alliance

The forums, trade and guild chat, ect. Whenever the helfers bring up High Elves in other threads they get smacked down rather quickly.

So there’s no official poll asking what alliance want that has been answered by enough members of the alliance to conclude that most want something new?

What about a version of high elves that’s not a copy paste?

we have void elves and night elves. if you want to be a light skinned elf then play horde

Nah, I’ll continue to ask for what I’d like to play.

Polls aren’t always reliable. The 2016 US Presidential election is the perfect example of this.

But still, if you have nothing that has been officially conducted and that has actually asked the majority of alliance players what they want, it’s dishonest to claim that you know what most of them want.

And this is why I will continue to support this cause. Because despite everything against it. It comes down to, it’s what people want to play, a High Elf on the Alliance side. Same reason I support Vulpera, because it’s what people want to play.

It would be impossible to ask the majority of Alliance players this question.

Still, it’s common sense. The majority of players would rather get something new as opposed to a copy of something already available. Imagine if Alliance got High Elves while Horde got something completely new. The forums would be full of angry Alliance players claiming Horde bias.

It’s not common sense, it’s an assumption that you don’t have any way of backing up. Especially since we aren’t asking for a copy paste anyway and have offered numerous suggestions as to how they can be different. The people insisting that they would have to be copies are antis.

I’ve never had any reason to think that High Elves were popular. People come to the forums to make demands and complain, most players aren’t doing that. What we’re seeing here isn’t representative of the player base. I think they just don’t care. Even then High Elves are such a niche of the story. Most players don’t think that much about the story, let alone something so specific. Why would most players be thinking about them? Isn’t the reason why people who argue for playable Alliance High Elves are so persistent on the forums, because they are trying to raise their profile.

And yeah, that’s Shadow’s opinion. Pointing that out doesn’t give the opposite opinion more credibility. That’s what we’re dealing in here, opinions.

they cannot be different because they are the exact same people and already playable

Make them different? So Void Elves then?

If blizzard cared that alliance players wanted a copy/paste of blood elves they would have already given them. Clearly they do not care or will not do it.

Void elves are not high elves.

But sure, let’s set some high elves up on an island and they can be altered by a morningwell like nightborne were altered by a nightwell.

void elves arent blood elves either just like high elves because wait for it

they are the same peopleeee

You know, some folks think it would be pretty nifty to play an elf on the alliance that isn’t some gawdawful shade of red or purple. Just sayin’.

it would be cool to play a horde draenei too but this is a faction based game

Void Elves used to be Blood Elves which used to be High Elves. This happened in the span of a single generation.
