See? Alliance ARE featured heavily in expansions!
Enekie hasn’t fixed anything because she vomits paragraph upon paragraph onto a sub-forum directed at people who have no control over anything, least of all the narrative.
The ideal isn’t to rant about equal effort, it’s to have people on both sides of the faction fence jointly direct their displeasure at the people who actually run things.
This is also something Enekie rants about, though?
Give us a Dwarf centric expansion already.
Just not the crystal dwarf king yelling about “woons”
Let’s get this clear:
One house is old and falling apart and covered in mold that can make you sick.
The other house is on fire.
Saying “man both of these houses suck” is factually true, but also spiritually dishonest with how you are choosing to present it.
I pick the house the big bad wolf can’t blow down
I don’t necessarily think that’s fair though. Blizzard isn’t really going to listen to any of us and discussing problems on this forum isn’t really harming anything either.
All I see her ranting about here is me apparently placing too much emphasis on the Horde and not adding a disclaimer that actually the Alliance has it worse, y’all.
I’m rapidly approaching the conclusion that Blizzard won’t listen to money either, frankly
If sharp dips and declines between expansions only taught them to find better ways to monetize the remaining players, my pretense of optimism is basically shot
I figure some of the Blizz staff (particularly Ion) are watching us yammer with glee and twirling nonexistent moustaches as they consider this their mission accomplished.
Enekie frequently talks about how “both sides” should direct their ire at Blizzard and not each other, and that a better Alliance story would also mean a better story for the Horde.
You have engaged with her in those discussions. You have agreed with her. I don’t know why you’re feigning ignorance of them now and pretending that this discussion only exists in this context of this one single thread.
My thing is that “horde players this” “alliance players that” thing is so overly hostile that I Can’t help but make fun of people who say them.
Because that’s what people choose to identify as.
There’s an old comic I want to link, but it’s inappropriate for the forums. Basically, two children of different heights are trying to climb a tree. The first child has a long ladder that allows him to reach an apple. The second child has a ladder, but can’t quite reach because he himself is shorter than the first child. He suggests that he should get a longer ladder, but the first child says that would be unfair because both ladders should be the same length, It’s Only Fair. This means that the shorter child never gets his apple.
Make me a pie.
To the conceit that we don’t enjoy playing unthinking goons;
“Shiny! Let’s be bad guys!”
-Jayne Cobb
The narrative has been largely Horde driven and Horde focused since MoP, from what I can tell (this is when I started playing WoW). Individual Alliance NPCs have gotten some development, but it came as a reaction to the Horde’s actions. I’d like to see the reverse for once.
Remember the time Enekie took Borgg jokingly RPing an Orc as him being genocidal.
Wow, is this actually turning into a witch hunt because Enekie disagreed with a thing? Jesus.

That post gets quoted at least once a thread and it’s overused. We need new material
