Hey everyone! Here is the video of my guild’s AOTC Victory on Gallywix! I play with a gamepad (Razer v2) using the ConsolePort addon. I had one or two mistakes and was a little frantic towards the end (kinda neglecting my execute button 
) but thought it would be fun to share my experience using a controller with the game. I’ve also achieved KSM this season and last with the same setup!

I play WoW with a controller all the time.
Healing was a little difficult to get used to and took a lot of adjustments…but it makes playing with hand/wrist issues much more enjoyable.
Didn’t even know this addon existed. I might have to tinker around with it for VR controls just for funsies.
That’s why I switched! My wrists were always killing me with keyboard and mouse.
Coz i havent tried PuGing it yet. I would try to do it now after maxing my gear. Nothing to do until next Season.
I would beat AoTC as clicker… nope, i wont be gimped as a clicker.
I’m mad that I can’t even get aotc with his keyboard and you pushing buttons.

I didnt like controller on Diablo 4. I killed Uber Lilith there with mouse and keyboard.
I dont like auto-targetting. I prefer using my mouse and keyboard when using guns on GTA 3, 4 and 5. The only good with controller to me is when driving car, flying planes… and playing Pacman.
Help me micromanage my pet using a controller. Yup, you dont do that… that’s why.
Who micromanages their pet? That’s what macros are for
Keyboard and mouse is better and more fun for this game.
Becoz skill ceiling with Hunter is too high. In classic/vanilla, i abuse my advantages. I remember the quest where the quest item is surrounded by groups of mobs with patrols. I used my pet to aggro all the mobs and run away while i sneak and get the quest item. Oh, yeah, people do that quest when they are 10 levels above the quest while i did the quest when i was 5 levels below the required level.
There are similar strat that i abuse. Do i want Blizz to gimp my controls to get WoW into controllers? Nope, i will make sure it wont happen.
i was AoTC every Season except last Season becoz of my faulty PC. 20 seconds upon Boss pull, my pc crashed. 20 seconds upon start of M+, my pc crashed bricking the keys. I stopped playing M+ and Raid and it was a serious setback on me. For some reason, it wont crash on Delves. I thought it was virus, i thought some app causing it. I thought some settings were causing it. I found the culprit and fixed it but the Season was almost done. The only thing i accomplished was KSM. I would just start again for Season 2. Now, i am poised to do those stuffs i failed to accomplish on Season 1.
And nope, i don’t welcome gimping our controls… to replace our mouse/keyboard with Controllers. You have to shut them down on the spot. Becoz if you dont, Blizz would allow it… like who thought of Hunters want to be Melee? Becoz nobody talked against it, that’s how it got through
Firstly, you know your character is public and people can see that the last (and only) AOTC achievement you got in Dragonflight was Raszageth…and none in Shadowlands, right? Unless you did them on an alt but achievements are warbound now so they would show either way…and you’d have the mounts for the shadowlands ones but you don’t.
As for controllers, WoW already has some level of native support for controllers and addons just improve upon that. It was added way back in 9.0.1 (so almost 5 years ago), I believe. It’s not super well published but the “/console gamepadEnable 1” command enables gamepad use with zero third-party addons needed! Blizz already allow it and actively promote players using gamepads by having default support for it.
Controller support is an accessibility feature for those whose hands/wrists might not work well enough to use a keyboard and mouse all the time. They aren’t “gimping” anything, they’re actually making it easier for themselves to play at the same level as those without pain! Aren’t accomodations neat? How someone else controls their game has no impact on you. If you don’t like it, simply don’t use it! But there’s no need to bash others for wanting to have fun and accomodate their own disabilities and comfort needs. Big grats to OP for AOTC!
That is amazing! Not only are you doing mechs, bombs and reactivity to the stuff going on absolutely killing it!
Yup and i dont feel gimped with clicking. I feel gimped when trying my fingers to memorize keymaps which always go back to clicking when the going gets tough.
I am AoTC when i was with WoW. On DF Season1, i was with WoW. For the rest of the Seasons i was in Diablo 4. I have Uber Lilith kill.
On Shadowlands, i cant remember where i was. Was it WoW Classic? But that was BFA era. I remember i played Diablo2: Resurrected to try it becoz Diablo 2 players claimed they played them for 10 years. Well, i beat their hardest difficulty Baal in a month. I also i remember i played Age of Empires 4 beat all its Campaign against the hardest AI.
I guess i have beaten AoTC whenever i want it. At least, i am not addicted to WoW like i was before. I dont care if i completed raiding or not. I still feel if you give me enough play time, i would perform equal or better. This game evolved into something so massive. I dont think i have time to get them all. I enjoy my life now too outside of WoW… playing guitar, drums and keyboard, watching movies, visiting theme parks in Southern Calif, visiting Vegas, DIY projects at home. I could have gone to Coachella with my wife if she wanted it. But my daughter and her friends did.
Controllers are gimping. Those who have impairments could use them. They dont mind to be gimped. They are not World First. If WoW became mainly controller, it means WoW would be a joke. Hopefully, i should be retired from WoW by then.
It’s already there. I’ve tanked 10s with a controller no issue. You wouldn’t know the difference unless they told you

AOTC is not cutting edge and yet here you are to take a big steaming pile on this thread for what reason exactly?
The person was excitedly showing how others can accomplish the step down from mythic raiding on a controller. It’s a feel good thread, yet here comes ol’ sour puss to drop trow like a juvenile.
