For those who understand it. MW is receiving revival for their essence. Will it just burst for the amount revival already heals for? Also I read MW is receiving WotC as a pvp talent. Let me say that this alone is enough for me to jump back into my monk and get him geared or possibly even main again. But will the mana cost also be part of that essence? Either way I’m extremely excited to see WotC.
I assume your talking about the gearbox essence? It is a weaker version of the real revival, but it wont activate the cooldown and your full revival will heal for the same (maybe a little more due to the added vers) but it pretty much just shortens the cooldown and gives you a half revival in between the cooldown, and i would assume the wotc will be the same mana cost which is fine really cause i think that will really shine in mythic plus where you can drink in between pack pulls but i dont see us ever really using it in raid when we have much better options.
Yeah I’m suuuper worried about the mana cost of way of the crane… it almost forces mana tea which hurts sustain in the long run, I run life cycles for keys and the crane one in raids since I’m actively dpsing I get better mana return. 25% is a hefty cost and I’m incredibly worried, I think I may be the only one not super excited to have this one.
Don’t run crane in raids then.
Except Mana tea is almost always the best talent in that row for raiding. The only time it isn’t is if you have long periods to DPS, in which case the content isn’t likely very hard, and mana not an issue. I’ll accept there may be a few niche fights though.
TL;DR Mana tea is already “forced” in raiding, so forcing it more isn’t exactly a big change in the status quo.
How I see it this xpac, lifecycles has become the dungeon go to whole mana tea is the raid go to talent. I can defiantly see how SotC would be highly situational, but wouldn’t play styles matter at this point? I’m more into the fistweaving of being in melee range while I see more monks these days going pure mistweaving. Not even striking a tiger palm on the boss. Just CJL.
What concerns me is not having full control of the dispel. On some fights (Stormwall for example) you want to keep the DoT on the tank for a specific period of time. Having an auto raid wide dispel will be more useful than not, but there are moments its going to create a real headache and force essence swapping mid-raid.
That depends on the content you’re doing though. I would never take SoTC running higher keys.
Similarly, the mana saved from using mana tea during Mythic raid encounters is far too valuable to give up.
So it’s more for speed runs that would require burst healing instead of consistent healing. Correct?
I guess but I will caution that Rising Mist is pretty much a dead talent at this point so don’t bother with it.
Why is it a bad talent? Sorry. Still getting use to bfa MW.
