Wanted to level a MW but can’t decide which race to go. What do you think has the best animations?
All animations are the same for all races.
The only animation that is unique is the self cast animation.

That’s not true, some of our casts use generic racial animations (vivify for example). Even the ones like SM look different on different models with their wildly varied proportions.
Personally I think panda looks the best by far. A male Tauren is pretty cool too, especially when they RSK. The only one I can’t stand is kul tiran, they just look like logs when they’re monking around.

One of the advantages of the Monk class is that is available to so many races. If you’re not interested in picking the strongest racial, just go with the one you like the most.
You’ll find people liking the aesthetics of basically every race there is, so just go with your heart.

Vivify is a self cast animation and he did say “besides self cast animations” would look different. The rest of the monk animations are 100% the same for all races.
Pick the race you love because besides your self cast animation you will look the same.

Because of my old resto shaman on classic, I have a soft spot for female orc animations. They also have imo nicely proportioned bodies for gear where there isnt much stretching of textures (blood elves are too this and get vertical stretching, pandas and kultirans get horizontal stretching)
Yeah your best bet to is spam out a pack of those ‘test characters’ that start at level 58 or so… and spam all your abilities, the just start deleting them one by one until you’ve got one left that you like the look of… roll your ‘newbie’ on that race.
Even when the animations are the same - sometimes they just look better on one body type vs another.
