Muting Sunwarmed Furline Mount

Is there a script/addon/weakaura I can use so I don’t have to hear this thing anymore? I remember a similar thing many years ago and there was some sort of addon you could use to mute it. Anyone?

We used to have a Sound folder. Blizz took that off of us. I’m still angry about it.

There is some sort of script, but I don’t know what it is.

But why would you want to silence the adorable meow meow kitty

Just be very careful about using scripts. If Blizzard believes you are doing something to affect the game you can receive heavy punishment. Their EUL has a rather broad definition including:

hacks; i.e. accessing or modifying the software of the Platform in any manner not expressly authorized by Blizzard; and/or

any code and/or software, not expressly authorized by Blizzard, that can be used in connection with the Platform and/or any component or feature thereof which changes and/or facilitates the gameplay or other functionality;

It’s just an addon code. They already exist.

Now I remember, this is what it was. Sucks we can’t do that anymore.

I was thinking more along the lines of a script, not specifically a designed add on. Scripts that just provide information (such as ‘have I completed this quest’) dont change anything, but a script that turns off a sound could be considered by them to be changing the gameplay ‘or other functionality’.

Shrugs I was just offering a word of warning since I tend to err on the side of caution about such things. Its up to each person to decide ultimately.

It’s annoying and I kind of don’t like cats to begin with better yet meowing 50 times a minute at 1000% volume ingame lol

Yeah. I had replaced the new obnoxious Balance Druid sounds with the old ones. And changed some of the horse mount sounds.

Now all I’ve got is the mute function from the addon. Which sucks.

It’s not. I know people who have been using it since Blizz screwed us out of our sound folder. And it’s on Curse. So all good!

But I’ll be forever pissed about sound folder.

Mute Annoying Sounds allows you to add custom sounds to the mute list… Like I’ve muted everything for undead female.

Why? Because their combat exclamations sound like my cat yaking up a furball.

Hm, well maybe Blizzard did that for the Sound folder to stop people doing that? Anyhow I never knew about it because I rarely found the ingame sounds annoying, although I do occasionally turn down the ambient sounds.

And I quite like the Furline sound, being a cat lady from way back. :heart_eyes_cat:

They claim they did it to stop people from being able to datamine the sounds as much. Because that worked out so well.

I think they did it because they got backlash from people on the new spell sounds and were upset people were replacing their precious crappy sounds with better old ones.

You don’t generally get in trouble for using the API that Blizzard implemented. They’ll usually just break the API

You remember the Archimond radar in HFC?

Broken, can’t do that anymore.

Remember World Quest Group Finder in Legion and being able to automatically create+join groups? Broken, can’t do that anymore.

You are usually safe to do whatever you want to do with the in game API, exceptions of course exist. If you figure out how to steal players gold by target them and running a script you can enjoy a nice ban  Muting sounds? Nah.

Fun fact: I can never see the world map marker when I’m in the Maw, because it blends in with the freaking gray map. LOL

Sorry I can’t hear anything over my euphoric hardstyle

Get a tiger mount. They’re better.

No the mount doesn’t fit in wow
