Must have a guild

If you have a supportive guild this expansion works. if you don’t you are just fodder for boost sellers and elitist gate keepers. This is obvious in bgs premades pawn everyone and mythic dungeon only looking for healers and tanks period etc. This is my opinion and it feels awful. I’m done with this expansion and have serious buyers remorse. No I don’t want to farm some guild been there done that. I don’t want to sigh away 2 or 2 evenings of my week indefinitely for raids and pugging is just not happening.

You want to raid, but you don’t want to set time aside to raid? I think I found the problem

Guilds have always made things better. The pug community is awful, it always has been. You’re put against the whims of whoever’s making the group. You don’t get to dictate a group unless you’re the one making it, so being upset about it is hardly fair.

If you don’t want to go out of your way to find a guild, then the only other option is to pug. And as I said above, that’s always going to be detrimental to your enjoyment. So…best of luck wherever you go, but yes; playing with like minded people and friends will always be better than trying to work with different strangers every run.

Yes my time is valuable and free time is tight. I rather not have to give up 6-8 hours every week of it. It shouldn’t require so much investment as i am not trying for world first or anything of sort. I enjoy socializing but not signing away my real life freedom for a game.

Yeah, bull, I’ve pugged to 600+ io already as one of the worst dps spec in the game. So no, M+ is not only looking for tanks and healers.

The only thing that I’ve done with my guild is raid. All of the pre-raid gearing in dungeons as a dps was done by myself. It can be hard to get a start but you’ll get there. Easiest way is to start your own group.

You mean things are easier in an MMO if you have other people to do stuff with?

Say it ain’t so.

Dang bro that’s big time news.

Most players who do belong to guilds have to pug all their own content anyway.

That’s been my experience as well except don’t dare be late on raid night. Don’t you dare leave early either rofl. BTW I sure would not want to be in a guild with some of the folks replying in this thread either. My worst nightmare guildmates are responding LOL. Honestly why I have been parked on this character in my own guild bank and avoid discord drama as well.

sup, 190 shaman here… i’ve played with my guild like 2 times… the rest all pugs.

can you explain to me exactly what is preventing you from getting a key and listing it yourself?

How, exactly, is another player preventing you from starting your own m+ group in LFG?

this is 100% the case. Anyone insisting on going it alone and expecting the same experience as those who find and foster community in a game like this have some serious unreasonable expectations.

Seriously list a key as a dps and see how it goes LOL. Wait 3 hours for a tank etc. BTW i have a tank and healer and they roll groups all the time but this is my main. I refused to tank other peoples warlocks and mages etc while mind just sat doing nothing in some guild. This is why I am so turned off now.

I started a guild for my alts on zul’jin after all their social guilds died. That’s a lot of players who stopped logging in in BfA. I have over 1000 guild achievement points thanks to the content drought.

So you think other people should develop relationships, form a raid roster, learn the encounters, progress through it in each difficulty tier, gear out an entire raid group through mutual successes…and then carry you through the raid for free because guilds are beneath you and your time is more valuable than everyone else’s?

You sound FUN.

Then do LFR when it comes out. You can raid when you have time and you don’t have to deal with elitists.

just play solo. Im having fun with it. Im only running dungeons where required for a quest…and when I needed to catch up on 2 renown last week.

I pug’d the last 4 bosses in Castle Nathria. It is possible to pug things.

You could just, you know, look for a group of people to play with. You’d probably have more fun.

I am in a guild, however I don’t raid nor am I required to. I run with guildies for 5 man dungeons and when they run normal mode I tag along if I have time.

There are plenty of guilds like the one I am in on high pop server.
