Because it targets melee, watched my partners Observer deleting KFC/DH +Arms last night doing shadow play. It almost doesn’t seem to care if something is ‘casted’ meaning a caster or not.
Same sort of wording is used for melee proc trinkets "spells cast have x chance to trigger y effect’ like that. My Rogue (pve main) casts no spells, yet still gets trinkets to go off.
i couldn’t attack it at all as a frost dk. my ranged dot does nothing to it. there is no counterplay except running from a 30 yard ability…
for it to be tanky AND out of range is the most broken thing
Its not tanky, ele’s destro locks, mages and sp drop it fast.
It can be shielded and directly healed. Fun stuff.
It needs to be on the ground so melee can kill it
It’s a wizard counterstrike totem

People line tyrant jus tline observer. Problem solved. Why should casters have to respect melee cds but melee shouldnt have to respect ours?
That would be fine if it was longer than 1 min CD or it wasn’t a 30 yd range OR a 20 sec duration … 33% uptime?
Cooldown could be bumped to 1:30min I dont think the dmg is insane at all unless you just sit there and try to face tank it. If anything this will promote more melee/caster comps instead of zugzug melee so that someone will be able to take it out.

I was thinking about dropping it and having a shaman or 2 both take turns dropping 2 groundings and then reset them, and drop 2 more, which means the enemy has to cast at least 2 spells to kill grounding, and at least 2-3 more to kill the observer
Everyone has to “respect” it.
pretty sure you can extend the duration with tyrant as demo too
