Multiple raiders mass reported

So, it wasn’t your characters that were banned? And your complaining that they were falsely accused of using “hacks” as you put it? I got the basics of the issue yea?

There’s an obvious flaw here, because no one on the internet is going to believe you when you say you went through there computer to “confirm” that there isn’t malicious software/hardware. So, it sounds like your raiders were trying to do something underhanded and got caught. What you should be worried about is the entire guild being banned for willingly associating with those players. It’s not a big thing, but if anyone can prove y’all knew something… Well, let’s hope y’all got a good raid in today

Dude I still remember some goof like 10 years ago getting wrecked on the arena forum by a blue saying he wasn’t getting piloted and guy got destroyed by the blue but also got outed by his own pilot. I screen shot that someplace, it was legendary.

Like I’m not going to pretend every person suspended and banned is justified, but I’m willing to bet that easily 90%+ are.

So when I see people whining about being falsely banned, I just doubt it hard. I’ve got my fair share of zuccs, and while I don’t agree with a couple of them, I was at the end of the day the reason why I got the suspensions.

Now couple it with this gm trying to third party it and everyone from their guild refusing to go even talk to the blues? Oh yeah I don’t gamble but I’m willing to bet they are in the wrong and the punishment is justified.

I suspect you are 100% correct. Lots of players cheat thinking they will never get detected because bans are rare, but rare as you know does not mean it never happens either.

Best rule to follow is simply don’t cheat in any way at all at any time and if you are out classed by cheaters then figure out a very creative way to beat them.

I don’t know if your buddies are guilty or not but I’m wondering why they got mass reported and why in another post you brought up the fact you had been mass reported on other occasions. Maybe the problem doesn’t lie with the reporting system. What are y’all doing to get mass reported by enough players it warranted a ban? Apparently this has happened multiple times. Y’all are either actually cheating or are guilty of being toxic enough that enough players took advantage of the reporting system. That’s what it looks like from this angle.

Lol none of this happened and if it did blizzard wouldn’t respond to you. Instead they’d force the ban harder and possibly press charges on you for harassment.

Mass reporting isnt a thing. Appeal it and tell your raiders to stop griefong by engaging in banworthy behavior.

they definitely cheated, blizzard if you’re reading this disregard appeals

Good call I forgot about that one. So youve got the ones thinking oh this shouldnt be considered cheating, and the others thinking theres no way they can detect it so they cant ban me…

it could be because you are exploiting the Rend buff at xroads. it is actually against the TOS agreement.

Source? I made it up of course

You need to be more realistic than you are confident people did not cheat or bot, so many people just blindly believe everyone is innocent. So many people cheat in this game then scream " i did nothing wrong" or people defend them “i know them so they must be innocent.”

A long time ago there was a post of a guy saying he didn’t bot or cheat and its a false ban. Crying his eyes out that his main account was gone. People were agreeing with him and saying then it must be a false ban. He had guildies posting he was innocent. Meanwhile the guy was a major botter, selling both accounts and gold on another website.

Imo a human should look into mass reportings, confirm the suspicion or conflict and if the mass reports are false. Ban those that are abusing the system.

This also shines a bad light on add-ons.

Since no information was given about what “hacks” they were accused of using. Couple this with the OP seemingly genuinely believing their guildees are innocent. Odds are, the offending parties creating some sort of add-on that gave them an unfair advantage. And, while some freedom did bring us things like Details! Or DBM or ElvUI that freedom has also led to people believing they can get away with “hacks” by shaping them like an add-on.

Don’t be fooled, this is still wrong. Anything that is taking source code and deciphering it for you. Or making decisions for you based on code surrounding your character (interrupts addon) is cheating. Because you are having a computer play the game for you on some level. This differs from DBM or WA because these two don’t actually DO anything for you. All they do is mark areas (which can be done by us anyway) or yell at you to move when you space out during a long boss fight. It’s still possible to ignore the add-ons and mess up.

If this is what happened tho, we have to wonder how Blizz is going to snap back at the addon community. Because that would show that players can cheat undetected. Which also makes one wonder how many “top” players will get caught up in the web if one gets cast

Yup, exactly this.
