I have had multiple of my raiders banned today for “Unauthorized cheat programs (Hacks)”.
I’m confident they did not break TOS and this is a false ban as a result of mass reporting.
Please immediately look into the banning of “Chimpsmage” and “Thadiusz”.
We raid tomorrow on Xmas Eve and I am relying on them to be able to complete the raid.
It makes me not want to play the game when players can be mass reported and banned without any interaction from a human.

Customer service forum would be a better place for this, but they will only tell you that the affected persons have to file a ticket and there’s nothing they can do over the forums.
Hope the raid goes well. Merry Christmas !

Yea that’s fair. I see this as a larger issue than just my case though.
I personally was mass reported and silenced 3 months ago. Customer service did nothing about it.
Seems like a broader issue at this point which is why I included it under the General forum.

Hey Bli,
So with this category, Blizz isn’t usually very forthcoming with info as to why. If this were posted in the Customer Support forums by the actual people affected, even hen not much could be said other than make sure to tell them to appeal.
Then appeal again.
And again.
They can continue to appeal until Blizz says no more and then it is done.
There have been a few posts coming through that forums about hacks over the last bit. I want to say a small number were escalated and overturned, but most were not. That is just my memory.
So, tell them to appeal and appeal again. And that is pretty much all that can be done.
Wish 'em luck.

Yah even if you were to post there for them, the response would be third party, privacy, can’t help and all that. And the advise would be the same.
Blizz really is never forthcoming as to why these hammers falls. Apparently it would give the RMT businesses and their software devs insight into the process or something.
Let them know that they can continue to appeal until Blizz says done. Then it really is done. That’s about all there is as an option.

Have them post in the customer support forum. They’re lying to you bro. They know what they did.

The scary part is that it feels like it can happen to anyone. And the only recourse is automatically losing a large chunk of ability to play. As a raid leader, it’s my nightmare that I get mass reported like this.
I no longer feel like I can talk in game freely after I was mass reported and silenced a couple months ago. I kept appealing it until I finally just got unsilenced because the 7 days were up. Now my account forever has that stain on it for something that isn’t my fault.
Terrible system.
Well, just to be clear, mass reports are internet illusion. If you are curious about that you can ask in the Support Forums and they can post any number of Blue posts refuting the myth (there are 100s).
That said, sometimes there are rare false positives, which is the reason for the appeals and all that. As I said, I want to say some where overturned after review recently.
Wish y’all that best. Good luck.
At least on Era, mass report abuse is 100% real. Players have tested it and been banned, so I don’t trust Blizzard’s word at all in that regard when it’s been proven otherwise, as this reddit thread says.

Feel free to take this to the CS forums, they’re quite literally the one people who use this forum that can actually give you the information you’re looking for.
But it’ll need to be the players who were suspended. You can’t third party it for them.
That said, feel free to take this over there and have the blues tell you the same thing directly.
Edit: You can choose to believe players over Blizzard, but all that does is allow you to live in an echo chamber. Logically ask yourself this, why would Blizzard allow players to ban other players. What benefit does Blizzard get from that?

They can say mass reporting auto triggers aren’t a thing but it’s a bold faced lie and always has been
Try posting in the Customer Service forum, they can sometimes provide more info. With that said, check with them that they weren’t using any macro programs. A lot of keyboard and mouse software can let you set up macros to execute multiple actions at once, or in some kind of timed sequence. It’s not immediately obvious that this breaks any rules but apparently it is actionable.
If your raiders truly have been falsely accused, I wish you guys the best of luck getting it sorted out!
Potentially a false ban, hit the CS forum.
However if…
if your raiders are using any kind of macro keyboard or auto hot keys or scripts to automate play or macros that aren’t supposed do a thing yet do and as a result automate play it gets a ban hammer.
If your raiders are botting in any capacity it gets a ban hammer.
There have been some notorious AV botters or afkers on Era who were mass reported time and again and even had threads posted about them on this forum. And yet they were able to get rank 14.
Why didn’t mass reporting work in these cases?
The nova plague…
If only mass report actually worked
