Multiple people rolling 100 is a bit silly

It’s happened twice now, just a second ago in fact, where I was like, “Watch I’ll roll 100 on this toy” and I actually did… then someone else rolled 100 as well and won. 100 is supposed to be the ultimate roll… If it doesn’t mean anything it’s a bit pointless and lackluster. Then I proceeded to immediately roll a 1 on the next thing LOL. Oof.

So the boss dies and you roll immediately and get 100. You think it should just end the rolls and give it to you? I dont even get a chance to roll? But I could tie. As you’ve pointed out it does occur.

But i suppose they could replace the system with musical chairs.

They should just give the loot to the first person that rolls a 100, maybe it’ll help stop people from taking forever to hit their damn loot buttons.

We could just go back to personal loot where nothing anyone else got mattered to you.

The longer you stand around in range of a dead boss, 5 should be subtracted off your roll per second.

I’ve seen 2 100 rolls a few times. Even been part of one of those. It’s rare thankfully. Honestly, it’s more disappointing than just rolling low because you not only lose the roll once, but twice.

The actual problem here is that in the event of a tie, the system automatically does a re-roll between the tying players… that on its own is actually fine, and how it should be… however… it does so invisibly… which leaves players feeling cheated because all they see is “I rolled 100, but I still lost because someone else rolled 100 before/after me” and they end up thinking that it just automatically goes to the first roll or the last depending on which one happened when they saw it happen.

That wouldn’t do anything to stop people from waiting it out… they do it to try and get everyone else to give up and abandon so they can get the loot without rolling… it would work however if it automatically rolled when their maximum roll would be less than the current highest roll.

I think I’ve read before that it doesn’t actually reroll but that the rolls themselves have long decimal values that are hidden and only come into play if the visible number is the same. But I could be wrong, I don’t really feel like digging the source up.

I just want ppl to stop staring at the carcass and start on next trash. You aren’t gonna improve your chance of getting something by staring at it, keep moving.

Nah, inferior system.

And other myths we like to tell ourselves about how people behaved when personal loot was a thing.

Oh god. This really makes my butt cheeks twitch. People who up until a second ago were actively fighting a boss, then proceed take 5min to decide whether they want to roll on something. Or just straight up go afk. SMH.

I get checking for if it’s worth rolling on. But that doesn’t take more than 30sec.

im even worse i die on purpose each fight alt tab and never roll on loot since im just there for the renown required for buff.

Eh. I’m ok with that since you’re not rolling at all. Besides, everyone in LFR has afk’d fights before. If a boss fight is too annoying or takes too long or blizz is stupid enough to keep one-shot mechanics in an LFR fight, then it’s fair game at that point.

The worst is when someone tries to brez you. Bleh. Just let me take my dirt nap, thanks.

But what if you could? Maybe if you stare at it long enough, another item will pop out of the rotting corpse.

I just wish that when you leave an instance WITHOUT rolling, looking at you LFR, it would just “Auto-Pass.”

I kind of wish we could go back to not knowing :stuck_out_tongue:

You mean personal loot?
