I doubt the excessive maintenance actually causes many people to quit so they have no reason to try tightening it up
But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t suck

It is amazing that some games with large databases and millions of players can patch in 5 minutes and rarely go down. Makes you wonder why blizzard/Microsoft runs on inefficient servers. Aren’t they supposed to be top of the line?

8 hours is not unheard of for a .5 patch.
Maybe it’ll help with the scheduled unscheduled maintenance on non-Tuesdays people have been crying about.

Casting doubt, been on launcher all weekend.
More than likely you didn’t restart the launcher which is usually what fixes that but as stated, the info about today has been on launcher all weekend.
