Was thinking of getting into multiboxing but heard Blizzard is about to ban them? Any truth to this?
They banned the Input Broadcasting Software used by Multiboxers to run multiple instances of the game from a single keyboard so pretty much yep!

but you can not use the broadcasting software
you have to alt tab now

Hardware and VM software will be the saving grace. I’ll be setting up my multibox within a VM later today.
Still multiboxing with EMA and macros. X-Mouse is how I’m able to quickly shift windows and cast still. Working just fine.

Alt-Tabing on one machine is gonna be difficult. If you are seriously gonna get into Multiboxing, you want to have several machines lined up and a wireless mouse and keyboard. It’s not something you can jump into anymore on a whim.

False. I have never used key cloning. So no. They have only banned key cloning.
I run 5 instances on one computer with 2 monitors. I haven’t used alt tab in 20 years. There’s actually a game setting that allows you to choose windowed fullscreen, so you can resize your windows and have all of them fully exposed at all times. What era are you time warping from?

VM could run afoul of the “no software” clause. Seeing how things haven’t been put to test yet, I wouldn’t want to chance it.

they will never ban multi box outright cause its multiple active accounts at once which makes them look better and if the user isnt paying in wow tokens its x times that 15 dollar sub so one way or an other blizz takes a cut. Company is too greedy to punish cheaters and yes multiboxing is cheating under the sense that the game is designed for players to do things together and these people do this stuff solo cause they can just run multiple accounts at once to do group content.
AH pricing on easy to farm mats is pretty much non existant on my server, the multi box farmers have destroyed any profit proffesions can really make so the ah is pointless from a sellers perspective but buyers are having a field day with certain mats.
I don’t box anymore, but those that do will go the VM/Hardware route for sure.

What my friend is doing is he setup 5 machines with a wireless keyboard and mouse, making sure that the wireless signal is accepted by the dongles on all the machines.
Can’t go cheap anymore, if you are serious about the hobby.
I’m looking into making a USB splitter. I got the schematics for it, just need the parts
5 machines just to multibox? yeah not gonna go that route. lol
I mean if you got the cash for that then that’s awesome, I sadly do not and most use X-mouse so you can switch easily now.

most people wouldnt, its too expensive, any multiboxers not running software blizz just banned are going to be rich boi’s that can afford the hobby so yeay more elitism winning… gg blizz.
My fear is that you are still using software to do it.
It just reassigns commands on your mouse, no biggie and not against ToS.
Yea, maybe so. Until I start to see action or inaction from Blizzard, I’m going hardcore hardware approach.
