Hi, quick question… is multiboxing tolerared ? Mainly insterested in the answer for SoM
If you mean having multiple accounts on at once, yeah you can.
If you’re talking the ‘automated’ stuff where keystrokes are mirrored … I don’t know but I think that’s banned.

No no, not any automated things.
My plan : having 2 accouts, one with a paladin, the other with a warrior. Playing both on different monitors on my computer.

Yes, you can, if you switch them back and forth manually.
I often run two accounts, I will drag a lower level character through a dungeon, or defeat some tough boss by grouping with my lower level character and kicking the boss’s backside with my higher level character.
As long as you don’t use any third party programs you are fine.

Yes. It’s not the actual multiboxing like they use to allow. Where you hit one key and the other 1, 2, 3 or 4 toons all do a spell at the same time.
As the other poster mentioned, you can do it the other way. I’ve done that since vanilla. Log my 2 accounts, put one on follow and basically just have the other along for xp.
Sometimes as noted, I’ll need to actually have him help, so I’ll start attacking with my primary and then go to the other screen and start attacking or healing with that one.

As long as you aren’t controlling BOTH at once then you are OK.

Beware of the automated ban system. Players who don’t know the TOS and think multiboxing is against the rules will report you. Eventually these false reports will build up and the system will trigger a ban.
You appeal the ban until you get it overturned, but you’ll still be out of an account during the appeal process, which for some people can take 7 days or 4 months, depending on how many times you have to appeal.

At one point it was possible to transfer a character between two accounts that you owned. Is it still possible? I can’t seem to find the info.
Not on Classic, at least, which bites.
Ahhhh, that’s sad. I guess I won’t use 2 accounts after all.

I see that we can combine battle.net accounts and that characters also get transfered. Can someone confirm that it actually works for classic ?
