This multiboxing problem has gotten WAY out of hand and it needs to stop like right now. On whitemane the entire coast of westfall is absolutely covered in nothing but multiboxers at disgusting amounts. Theres alteast 12 people right now that are all multiboxing 5 toons and they are just destroying the entire coast and making it impossible for anyone to kill any murlocs. This needs to be made against the rules and should be banned.
Its disgusting and its cheating and that is final.
I’ve had to run into at least 30 different people since I started playing today that are all multiboxing 5 toons each.
This game is dead and gone and it has turned into a hub for bots and multiboxers selling gold to other players.
At least 25% of classics total population is nothing but multibox accounts, and bots.
Most of the multiboxing accounts are nothing but bots anyways. I was trying to kill gnolls and then a multiboxer with 5 mages ran up and started attacking the gnolls, and I guess they pulled too many to handle. They where only level 8 mages and they all got killed and I stood there and watched as they all died one by one while they did nothing to run away or escape.
I stood on a cliff side looking down at the coast and it was nothing but multiboxers as far as I could see that where killing the murlocs and killing the crabs, and the crabs basically have an unlimited spawn, since there will always be 1 or 2 spawned at any given time, and every spot on the coast that had those crabs where being farmed by multiboxers.
The majority of the multiboxers are just bots that are running on 5 different accounts. I can tell by standing there and watching their movement and actions.
Hopefully multiboxing will be made against the rules pretty soon. I’ve seen so many topics lately about people complaining about multiboxers and they are all telling the truth. Its a disgusting way to play the game and its completely unfair for average players that play with 1 account and play the proper and intended way.
Multiboxing was never as big of an issue way back in vanilla then it is today. And it needs to stop because its getting way out of control. Pretty soon its gonna be a requirement to have 5+ accounts to compete with other players and that will be the norm if this doesn’t stop.

you can doubt it but its still evidential of multiboxing when 5 players named similar names run around with 1 player leading and 4 on follow and end up in the same dungeon together. you can claim there is no method for detecting multiboxers but you would just be lying to yourself and the entire classic community

youre right, multiboxing is not the same at botting, however there are many similarities. the most important of which is gaining an unfair advantage over players that choose to play the game normally

Multiboxing might not always be Botting but as far as I’m concerned when you have a program replicate commands to other instances of the game all but 1 account is Botting

yeah but then you have to coordinate and group with those guild members and everything that comes with being in a group with other players. multiboxers bypass these things

Except no. A bot runs when no human is present. A box requires a person to be person and inputting commands for each action taken.

You do know that individual players and a multiboxer can be worse then or better then from each other?
To use an example i use in these kinds of threads, lets just say people’s skill range are represented in numbers 1 to 10. A group of 5 different people will give you a minimum of 5 skill in total, and 50 skill in max. A multiboxer is just one person with his number multiplied by 5.
No, multiboxers (most anyways) CAN NOT do those things.
They only have 1 person thinking and operating.
They can not do 5 entirely separate things and move 5 entirely separate ways at the same time.
