Multiboxing positivity

Its not.
5 accounts is 5 accounts is 5 accounts.
One player or 5…the end result is exactly the same.

Multiboxing is an option in game and no one should be making personal attacks against the people who choose to play that way.
I personally don’t like to see multiboxing done for getting extra taps on mining/herbing nodes or using it in pvp, but that’s my opinion and I would never attack anyone who does it.
It really bothers me that too many people on these forums make judgement calls, personal attacks on other people.
It’s ludicrous that anyone believes they have that right to judge especially when they have no knowledge about the person behind the avatar.

It’s not just this topic it’s also pvp, the helfer topic and many others.
We can disagree without hating on each other.

I have multibox leveled every expansion since BC with no issue.

We go. We get our quest. We pick a spot and wait for anyone else there to finish then take our turn. Since they changed how parties work we will typically accept people asking to join our parties and let them take advantage of our squad.

We get people who stick with us for quite a while.

What is different from a group of friends questing and gathering together?

The group of friend has access to the highest gear level with east. A multiboxer can’t multibox his way to mythic 15(maybe a handful) and mythic raiding.

The individual will always have more character power.

As for gathering, everyone can tap the node(10 tap).

5x herbs is cancelled by the need of 5x the consumables.

Going back to what you said before, if you want a single player game where you can play alone, go try Skyrim.
It’s a game I play just like it’s a game they play. It’s my business because I pay $15 a month just like they do. Anything pertaining to the state of the game is my business.

Like I said, you have nothing to worry about if it’s ok. They won’t change it.

1 Person Benefiting 5 times vs 5 people benefiting once.

I also play the game and I pay 75 dollars a month. What I want to do with my time is none of your business.

Good for you, you have the right to say it’s none of my business just like I can say it is.

I’ll steer clear of the gathering aspect as its one I dont understand and really dont care much about.

The difference between a group of friends playing five characters and the multiboxer playing five characters is that if you put them on equal footing, the group of friends would have 25 characters, not 5. You are equating apples to oranges where non multibox players are controlling a reduced amount of power due to not partaking in multiboxing, which is my entire reason behind saying it is slanted. The only way to achieve that advantage is to pay more subs, more subs require payment, therefore pay to win.

You’re stretching really hard here.

By establishing equivalencies? Its not much of a stretch.

Nah. You’re intentionally trying to not understand. It’s really disingenuous.

What you’re asking is a power multiplier for the amount of money you spend on sub.

Multiboxing isn’t about that, You have to gear all 5 characters individually. They don’t all do the exact same DPS. There is a difficulty and skill learning curve to be efficient with multiboxing. 5 human head will always be stronger than 1 human head.

You are trying to make it about the player when its only about the character power.

Your proposition is a flat damage increase x5. No penalty 100% character control all across the board. No losing 1 of your character to CC, off-sync or obstacles. You would ALWAYS have your permanent 5x and perfect mobility.

You mean, people who press a single button and get up to go to work? The actual bots?

Reporting multiboxers means you have decided to waste the time of investigators and make bot removal less effective. Why would you want to do that?

There is no way for me to know who is legit and who is not. I let Blizz decide because they have the tools to make that decision. I don’t!

Technically they could just have a scheduler that automate the bot launch. And they could go on vacation for a month.

The thing is, everyone has access to the same tools/add-ons that multiboxing players use. Just like everyone has access to DBM or MRP or Questie, etc. It’s legal and allowed by Blizzy’s ToS so everyone is one the same footing. Each of us choose what we do or don’t do. For me, I don’t multibox. I’ve talked to people who do and why they do.
I think its REALLY important to draw the distinct line between Blizzy Allowed Multiboxing and illegal botters. They are not the same, but I keep seeing better hate leveled at players who multibox.

No one wants the botters. I believe that’s accurate, right?

In my opinion the focus should be towards that right there.

Fair enough. I’ll accept that its not a 1 to 1 ratio and there is some opportunity cost behind each additional character…but what does the multiplier work out to be then? .80 per character? .60? Even if not performing at full potential, the fundamental reasoning of more subs = more individual player power exists, even if not in 100% capacity.

That would be per account. When you buy a token each month to pay for each account’s gametime, you would never reach that.

What you said does not make any sense, and even if it was, tell me how that multiboxer farming primals in Netherstorm and preventing me from questing was helping my player experience.

8 druid killing all the quests mobs with me trying to camp a spot and be faster than them?

get out with that nonsense and your pathetic excuse to feel better with your conscience knowing that you’re playing in a gray area just because you wanna shortcut your way to wealth. OHHH and thanks for the link to blizz support, like we didn’t know it was allowed, THANKS!!!

I made millions just by crafting, investing time in leveling alts, capping all professions for every expansion. Like everyone should. Wasting hours of my time.

Heck, my last post is titled “A love letter to the gold making community”.

Multiboxing is cancer and it’ll always be. Don’t come to us in search of validation. You’re ruining the game for everyone, even if your point is “BUT BUT I’m KeEpIng the ZiN’AnThID PriCE LowwwwWWWWW!!!”

get out. no.
