Multiboxing positivity

How exactly are people going to do that when there are so many of them around? There isn’t like a big list to say who is and who isn’t doing that on the AH. They won’t put anything in the game like that to call out people.

Pay players to do it for you. Talk to them and get to know them. This is an mmorpg.

:woman_shrugging:

The gold/hr sitting at these spots is better than the gold gained by doing BFA gold quests easily. Do the napkin math and be surprised.

Some people can be very determined. So maybe they could create a list or create their own personal addon.

Not saying it would be an easy task, but it’s an idea at least.

I agree we should have to fight for node sources, which is why 1 person shouldn’t be able to tap the entire thing at once, glad you agree.

Just like your analogy was stupid. It would be my business, you’d be clogging up traffic and potentially causing more accidents.

Nothing positive about multiboxing. Its a blight on the community and makes the game feel like a cheap, f2p korean mmo.

I am positive that there is nothing good for the game that comes out of multi-boxing. I know Blizzard allows it, but I highly disagree with that decision.

Botting doesn’t really affect me either, do you suggest we allow it?

Ehhhh I don’t think people will waste their time doing that. I think people would rather have Blizzard do something like create new rules when it comes to multi boxing to help deter it more.

I don’t think that is the case at all. I think multi-boxing has some positive uses.

  1. People that don’t like having to rely on other people to complete content
  2. Avoiding the more toxic side of the community
  3. Being able to be more self-sufficient
  4. Being able to do things more efficiently sometimes

I would say those are some pretty positive things as far as multi-boxing is concerned.

So the only positive things you can think of are ways to play an MMO as a single player game. Point taken!

Thing is, you don’t have to use some sort of key copying single button press software to box. You can use hardware to do it. More expensive, but it can be done. Some people prefer using hardware, because they are not comfortable downloading some kind of software that copies keystrokes. If you use the computer for other things than gaming like maybe online banking. Who wants to have some sort of key copy software, and risk having account passwords that could possibly be copied when typing? I guess most are safe, but Myself would not take the chance. Blizz programs like warden, especially over the last few years have gotten a lot better at being able to detect people that are using botting software. Pretty sure they can tell who is actually botting, and those who are just boxing. Haven’t seen a bot in game since blizz successfully beat that one bot maker in court a few years ago.

When used in instanced content where they are the only actual player in it, sure.

When multiboxers use their accounts to camp an area and farm up tens of thousands of cloth/herbs/ore at the expense of other players is when I have problems with it.

When multiboxers use their accounts to have an edge in world PvP and battlegrounds is when I really have a problem with it.

Isn’t that what single players games are for? This is a MMO.

Get people who you can trust on your friends list to collaborate with and do content together more efficiently? Ya know… Use the social features within a game to talk with others.

Im guessing you hated Classic then LMAO
YOu AINT a victim guy…you can box any time you want to.

Youre not one to be pointing fingers there, mr I can drive 20 cars LMBO.

Hardly. Im 55. I have a perfect driving record. My guess is you are far more of a danger on the road with ONE car than I would be with 10

Just because a game is an MMO doesn’t mean that a player is required to interact with the other players in the gaming community. All that a game needs for it to be considered an MMO is that a bunch of people can play and share a common space.

wow…that just blew right on over lol
QUESTING…NO MMO required.
PET BATTLES…NO MMO required.
Theres a TON to do in this game without player interaction.

As I said previously and I’ll say it again

So do bots and I don’t see anyone in this thread clamoring for bots to be allowed by the ToS.

Well, the topic of this thread isn’t botting so we probably won’t see that here. You won’t see people discussing much lore in a rated-battleground thread either. That’s how it works.
