Multiboxing - NEW TOS

Can you even read ? Its not going anywhere…

As I read it, it seemed like your intent was to say that neither multiboxing nor broadcasting software are/were allowed. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

creating hardware solutions is an exercise in futility, you can still be reported, and blizzard would still likely ban you since you are, in spirit trying to break the TOS even if by the letter of it, you didnt. The only thing a hardware solution would do is stop Warden from notifying blizz about what you are doing.

That’s not how it works.
Hardware is not detectable.

You can’t tell the difference technically between multiple computers being controlled by one user and multiple computers being controlled by a household.

There’s a reason the TOS update pertained specifically to SOFTWARE and not multiple accounts.

Also - hardware is how you used to multi box.
It’s not creating a new solution.

ok ill have to put it a bit clearer. if you are using a hardware solution to move all your characters at the same time and people see you, they are not going to check if you are using a third party program. They will just report you, and its pretty likely that you will be banned anyways.

like i said, the only benefit in using a hardware workaround is that it isnt detectable.

Why did blizzard ban third party software to enable multiboxing? Was it because of the negative effects it had on a player driven economy and bad play experience for people not engaging in the activity? or was it because after 16 years they abruptly decided they didnt want extra software influencing the game?

I think most of us can agree its likely the former, people using hardware solutions to imitate third party software is not going to be a viable option.

So they would ban you for not breaking any rules? Ok…

And they banned broadcasting software because of bots… it had nothing to do with multi boxing.

It’s all good

Given the evidence over the past day or so, this is false.

Of course nothing is set in stone. After the /follow removal (BGs) in 2013 a lot of us thought that would be the end of it. Blizzard has a proven track record of saying they don’t care about multiboxing and then acting like they do. So giving them money now is, in my opinion anyway really dumb. Very dumb to go and buy multiple pieces of hardware to accomplish this goal.

The right thing to do would be to make abuse of hyperspawn locations an actionable offense. The rest of it is fluff.

Option 2 is your safest bet. Go full hardware.

Option 1 though cheaper is still within the software realm and up for debate. Might get a GM who has had a bad day which decides you are still software broadcasting.

No since we could hardware box before and they said there was no change regarding hardware so :man_shrugging:

The way it works is they will get reports. Warden will scan your memory for unwanted programs.

The only way to software broadcast is via software.

Hardware broadcasting via KVM synchronus switches does not need software. There for no unwanted programs in memory.

 :sob: :sob:   :joy:

Or how about this.

Why not get all you mutiboxing people who thinks this is bs, put your money with each other…and take Blizzard to court over TOS, ownership of games, and games as a service.

I’m sure some case could be made where a company scanning your programs while playing could maybe build a case around it. Heck do a public service and see if courts would side with consumers about when you buy a game you own it. Not the company itself.

You all got all this money to mutibox and stuff. Why not put it to use?

I made it! Wooo!
How was everyone’s Thanksgiving?

Multiboxing only costs me $65 a month, not a significant amount of money

Great, had ham

Money to burn I strongly suggest Xmas gifting yourself with an order off the holiday ham store.

Did my first one this Thanksgiving. Honey glazed made to order. They cook it at 800 degrees and then ship it out. It took about 4 days to get here (KY to NY). I threw it in the freezer, thawed it for 3 days before turkey day and man was it good. Just room temperature the texture was nice, very soft and tasty.

Sure, it’s a 100 dollar order but it’s going to beat the store bought spiral hams any day of the week. When I say honey glazed it was right down to the bone.
