Ever since the introduction of nodes having a delayed despawn people have been using 2 seat/3seat mounts with multiple accounts to gather from the same nodes, even going as far as having 4 accounts and 2 following the others. Does this impact anyone negatively, I would say that blizzard introduced this to allow multiple players to have a chance at nodes and not for multiboxers to exploit, as this increases the amount of herbs and consumables on the market and drives down prices. Multiboxing has always been a grey area, but instead of 20 blood DKs ganking one person, you have large amounts of players effectively duplicating materials.
They are paying for all the accounts so I doubt blizzard cares.
Oh I already know this, but I wouldn’t doubt that a large portion of the community is even aware of it.
There was something like this in early diablo 3, where if you had a group of your own and looted a monster at the same time all your characters got the items that dropped. It was pretty funny. I bet they patched/fixed that at some point.
You can stick on a train of bots and have them guide you around?
I’ve always multi-box farmed. Before this multi-tap thing came in I used to have them flying laps in different zones. I fish on two characters. This multi-tap herb/ore thing makes it easier but its not changing how much I farm. Flying has considerably more impact.
Edit: Also something to consider. I farm with a set goal in mind. 4 stacks of this, 5 of that etc. When I reach my goal I stop. I’m probably not the only one that does that. Multi-box multi-tap is the same as farming in guild groups to get it done faster, not necessarily to flood the market.
As long as none of those accounts are bots it’s completely legitimate as it’s no longer against the rules to multi-box.
I don’t think it is really an issue, not like multi-boxing is that common. I don’t think I have come across someone multi-boxing in a long time.
There is NO reason to assume those 2-3 characters are all the same player, multiboxing.
It is MORE likely they are guild-mates, out gathering the herbs needed for the next raid (especially Anchor Weed). If 3 all go together, they can all pick AW when one player finds one, so every discovered node gives the GUILD 18 AW instead of 6
That makes a ton of sense since the GUILD needs 60 Anchor Weed for each feast…and since each feast serves 30 players, it makes sense to for the GUILD to ask 2 or 3 or 4 or 6 players to all gather at the same time, to get it faster.
Yes people are aware of it, and it is a good reason to stop supporting the game. Probably why alot of people, good players… quit. I don’t blame them 1 bit.
There is nothing you can do.
It comes down to automation or not and since they feel copying the actions of toons through a program is not actually automation then it’s no use argueing with them. Simply put…they don’t care about their customers or how they feel on the subject of unfair advantage.
But they are wrong it is automation, The definition of automation speaks for itself.
But they can argue about it all they like …hands down and cutting the BS…
We all thought playing 1 cartoon character in WoW was the main way to play, but they tricked us and kept it quiet that bot programs can copy and paste your actions onto a whole bunch. So there is no even, fair, playing field in WoW.
It’s a joke i commonly bring up at work about the game… we all laugh at it… and make fun of their logic.
Sounds incredibly expensive
Nope, they are not exploiting because multi boxing in not against the rules.
Why dont they let us multibox in overwatch? Does not make much sense according to their “rules”.
You can use multiboxing to farm so much gold very easily and just use tokens.
Overwatch is a different game with different rules.

Overwatch is a different game with different rules.
Yes made by the same company that believes multiboxing is ok. So again why not? Throw in some good ol aiming addons because of the disabled people (of course) and we got another classic blizzard game right? I don’t see the issue with headshoting the entire other team by 6 of my toons… because i have extra money to throw around… do you?
Did you just denigrate disabled people in the midst of your gripe about multi boxing ?

If thats the way you feel about my statement then flag it.
But no, i did not. Is mentioning disabled people against the CoC now?..
I’m disabled… and alot of people need addons to help them play video games.
Plus if i can’t talk about disabled people multiboxing then i don’t wish to be part of theis “forum community” so go ahead and report.

As long as none of those accounts are bots it’s completely legitimate as it’s no longer against the rules to multi-box.
I have to concur and only add, that there really is no easy way to tell from a multiboxer and a group playing together on Blizzard’s end, so unless botting software is used it’s not something that can be stopped. [quote=“Actasanc-kirin-tor, post:6, topic:33991, full:true”]

You said “because of the disabled people (of course) as though any atempt to accommodate disabled people should be met with the contemptible (of course ) I’m offended by that. I guess there are parking spots for he disabled (of course) at Walmart . Do you see how this sounds ?
Yup people claim to be disabled all the time, does not mean they are actually disabled. Your point?
Oh ya right … you are “offended” then flag and go away… because i feel you are trolling to get me silenced and i find that offensive.
