I for one stand with multi-boxers. No one should put a limit on how many boxes a person is allowed to have. Some homeless people only have one box…I KNOW! So sad…

I hope I’m not taking this out of context, but please hear me out.
I think they said it best. This topic is NOT about many situations. This topic is about Herbalism and how Multi-boxing impacts it.
If you’re going to tell the multi-boxers that you’re trying to shine a light. Could you be so kind as to keep that light on the topic instead of moving the goalpost? Is that the term used?
So with that all out of the way, what are the issues that multi-boxers are creating that has to do with herbs?
I would also then ask, is this issue caused by multi-boxers or is it caused by botters? Maybe it’s a bit of both?
Does one or the other cause more of an issue to the overall enjoyment of the community that is trying to gather herbs? I would say the botting community is way more detrimental to the herbing community because the scripts involved allow them to run and play the game 24 / 7. I don’t know of many / any multi-boxers that can do that for a sustainable amount of time.
If the issue is about herbs flooding the market. Is that really any different than people flipping and sniping on the AH as is? Someone decides to buy a boat load of cheap stuff and then turns around and floods the market with the stuff that was already there, just at a different price?
If the issue is about herbs and farmers not being able to sell their wares for X amount of money. It is a free market right? You can sell your wares for whatever you want. I just don’t think people should complain when people are getting undercut like it’s a bad thing. Everyone is trying to sell their stuff, people use whatever tactics they can to sell. It’s how the AH works. Welcome to the world of marketing competition?
If the issue is that there are certain herbs only spawning at certain spots. Maybe try and convice Acti / Blizz to increase where these herbs spawn.
I think there are things that people can do to help themselves out. Sadly, we as humans generally go the path of least resistance. And instead of changing how we do things it’s always easier to just yell GET RID OF X! because that means we didn’t have to change anything we do.
How about just banning multi-boxers. The whole family/ip thing isn’t flying with me. Blizzard has the ability to hardware ban someone, so they can see what PC hardware you are actually using and ban that PC.
Buzzwords? Nice does it know other tricks?
I only knew about that because Blizz themselves said it in a thread years ago.

You do realise that a node disappears after a few seconds wether its been tapped by one toon or ten right? So its less an issue with multiboxers and more an issue of you being behind on a farming route.

How about banning people who want to ban multiboxers. Seems like the easier solution.

This is a huge issue guys lets come together and figure out more ideas to fight these Multi-boxers killing our experience.
Another solution could be Blizzard implementing a 10 sec lock out to herbs like someone else suggested. BAM fixed.
It is quite spirited in here, I have a feeling this thread is going to get shutdown lol. Which is sad, I’ll have to wait a whole day before a new one is made.
You would have to donate to blizzard the multiboxing money and fund the tickets of people reporting the multiboxers that still persist

You have to consider the effect of any solution on everyone.
Less than an hour. People will come up with some other reason why multi-boxing is bad and it will eventually come to light that they are upset that they can’t gouge. Because the multi-boxers are the devil incarnate.

Exactly, or go farm something else for a bit. If it wasnt for multiboxers, people would be complaining they have to pay 500 gold per anchor weed instead of the 75-125gold a piece it was for most of BFA. (the amount of boxers will calm down after pre patch, alot of people picked it up thinking it would get them quick brutosaurs, but its actually alot of work to maintain everything)

Personal loot it and make nodes spawns completely totally random in terms of both time and location. Fixed.
