Multiboxers, help!

Hey you multiboxin’ kiddies… have a question (or two) for you.

First off… is this Lavishsoft stuff really legit? I’m afraid to use it. Back in my day I used to run everything off a Mac with clonedkeys. (Horrendous, I know). I actually set it up, saw all the rigamaroo to go through, got scared, uninstalled the isboxer stuff… then thought I’d come here seeking “guidance”.

I saw a video today that got me curious, then motivated, to multibox again but the landscape is so different now. The video didn’t really cover much on the multiboxin’ bits. Also, the video was referenced here on the forums too  and maybe it was something about WTB gold

What programs should I check out? (I have a mac that could multibox and a winders box that definitely can multibox). Are there any resources that you’d suggest?

As long as you’re still required to press the buttons to get your characters to move do stuff, yes the program is fine.

Yeah, it’s legit… it’s just weird… like weird to the power of weird… has a downloader, separate stuff it runs, etc. The idea is you control your toons with one keyboard / mouse and it does a lot of other good stuff for you… but the whole getup is odd.

All macros need to be written within wow. Don’t use hardware or software that programs sequence macros onto your mouse or keyboard.

There’s a dual boxer site with a forum where you can ask people with experience.

I second checking out the Dual boxing website.
There are a couple free programs that work pretty good but need some setup and tweaking. I recommend reading up on those in the New multi boxers& support form

Yeah, that’s where I found hotkeynet… but it looks like that might have been a ban-worthy program? Not sure what’s up… might just have to do this on my mac and dust off clonedkeys :frowning:

As long as you stick to one keystroke = one action per character meaning press 1 that keystroke gets sent to all characters, you should be fine. I’ve running it every time I get back into multiboxing and haven’t any issues with it.
As well as many others. A twitch streamer that boxes 6 druids uses it as well on the regular. So its pretty safe imo.

Cool. Not looking to do anything uncouth so I should be safe. Just want to play me some boomkin farming like a boss! I’ll tinker around with it and see if my little boomfarm will setup ok

Update:
Figured out some weirdness with the tools and now I’m up and running. Next step is to setup another account and get the farming on! I’m looking forward to this - I have the funniest set of Tauren ready to go.
