Multi-Tagging on Mobs

Would it be so terrible to have the ability for multiple people to tag mobs and alleviate some of the leveling pain? With this many people, it would allow people to complete quests without having to wait so long to find quest mobs. It certainly made retail questing less stressful on high-pop servers. This isn’t really “Classic”, so why not one more QoL change?

Yes. Yes it would. This is classic and classic players who played back in vanilla have extremely large nostalgia blinders on for what makes good gameplay.

Would it be so terrible to just group or invite people to group? That’s also an option

Retail players are allergic to social interactions in this MMO game.

I played on release and it was not that bad (more servers and less players knowing what they are doing). Idk where ppl get their nostalgia blinders tbh.

yeah the current population is nothing like vanilla WoW. back then you waited around on spawn timers, like 30-60+ seconds for individual mobs. now the mobs respawn instantly but you’re fighting 10-15 people for the tap.

If possible, try to invite people when you enter a new zone, chances are that they will stick with you as you are all on the same stage of the game.

The basic MMO manners are nowhere to be found, so either find a group or expect ninja tagging and elbows.

It’s more about the people who played back in vanilla and think singular mob tagging is actually good design and makes sense.

To be fair, grouping as people suggest can also suck, when the quest item drop rates are 1/250 mobs :joy:

And then you just have groups of 2 or so competing against both individuals and other groups.

So I can spend twice as long trying to get Gnoll Paws that only drop 1/5 mobs! Yipee!

Its definitely not because drops arent shared and every person I add is 2x the amount of mobs I would need to kill to finish the quest?

So you would rather spend 5 times as long because of how tagging works. Makes sense for a community regular.

Sorry, but not having multi-tagging is trash and always will be. I played in vanilla and people hated it then just like they hate it now. People don’t always want to rely on other people since not everyone is nice enough to invite you to a group. There’s a reason why these systems were changed in the first place. All that trash is (as of now) is a time sync forcing you to do a 5 minute quest in an hour. Just like not having summon stones active at dungeons entrance, it’s time sync after time sync.
