Exactly.
The sole reason I moved off a Pvp server to PVE was the time wasted being ganked by 110s when I was trying to quest.
Same thing happens to the wife…happened…before WM.
Bliz doesnt do anything because you can turn WM off.
Bliz literally gives them the tool to stop ganking and they put the ‘gank me’ hat on anyway and then cry when they get ganked.
Its no wonder bliz doesnt do anything about it.
because the principals of economics don’t apply to wow?
You know, the tools I use for the AH mirror a lot of real world tools I use for trading and analytics. The same logic can be applied.
Are you seriously making the argument that real world economics don’t apply in game? despite the fact IN GAME currency is being driven by real world dollars?
It hurts other sellers. There isn’t an infinite amount of stuff to be sold and there aren’t an infinite number of buyers. Boxxers are profitable because they can offer up a cheaper price then the solo player. So much so that it’s almost unprofitable for them to farm herbs and ore relative to time invested. As in, there are other means that would be more profitable… but that isn’t to say those avenues are a GOOD way to make gold.
And it was perfect. The people farming and putting in large amount of time were the ones that kept the profits. Not some boxxer controlling 10+ accounts. That’s how it should be. The economy is better when the gold created and earned is spread out to the most people… not hoarded by a single player or group… which is what we have now.
That’s why there is a massive disparity in pricing. You have cheap ore but players are still selling runs for 100-150k or more. Where is the average player supposed to make that kind of gold in game? That turns them to buying tokens… which then the boxxer buy.
Don’t you get that?
The boxxers are buying tokens that people spend real world dollars on. People don’t have the means to earn gold in the same way as they once did. Farming is less profitable thanks to the boxxers, and most professions simply don’t offer up goods that are useful anymore. Professions used to be pretty robust. You had lots of consumable style items that could be created to make some gold.
Anywho, if you can tell me why cata ore price are bad… feel free to.
because that isn’t gouging. not that you would understand what it is anyways.
lol. what kind of sad argument is that? I want to pvp though. It’s what I enjoy about the game. That is and was one of the big selling points of BFA… and you’re just telling me… I should turn it off since I don’t like dying to a boxxer?
You guys really struggle to make meaningful arguments. This is exactly what we are talking about. You’re telling me to turn warmode off and you somehow don’t think that’s detrimental to my experience in the game?
well, news for you… player opinion counts and has for ages. it doesn’t mean player opinion always wins, but it has more times then not.
and guess what, player opinion about boxxing is starting to reach a fever pitch because lots of us are sick of it.
What you and Rhythalia are describing is pvp, not specifically MB.
Yes, I am. There’s no unlimited gold mines in the real world.
Yeah there is. That’s why you can’t make comparisons to the real world. Herbs, ore and mobs respawn infinitely… until the servers shut down.
Why?
Non-boxers buy tokens too. I do it all the time and I don’t box.
Yes they do.
Farming Zin’anthid is less profitable atm because nobody is progressing anymore. Well, I shouldn’t say nobody but the push is gone. SL is right around the corner.
yeah…that comment was a joke, lol.
I DONT box farm and I made enough in one week on ONE character to buy 3 tokens at about 160k each.
Some of those Mists mogs can fetch upwards of 50k, lol…and do.
I’m just trying to tell you what is apparent to most of us. If you don’t like getting killed by multiboxers or a single player, turn off war mode. It’s why that mode was created in the first place and why Blizzard takes no actions against multiboxers PvP and people camping. The solution is very easy.
You don’t need to turn off war mode. However, if you don’t want to be killed, even camped, you may want to. Also, if you want PvP why not do arenas or BGs. World PvP, with or without multiboxers, has already been kind of an unpleasant experience.
Dude, one day I spent hours flying around the Twilight Highlands because I wanted to wear some of those cool engineering goggles from that xpac. So many loops, so much disappointment.
No it’s not. I never said you couldnt use certain words. I never told you to stop saying anything. I called your actions fascistic, and they are, but I never once said you couldnt voice your opinion. You have literally done that. You have literally told people they could not use certain words to express their opinion on this given issue.
so getting one by 10 boomkins is healthy for the game? woo, news to me.
and there aren’t in the game either. shocking
they all require labor…
wrong.
but they can’t be infintitely picked. that’s the point. someone has to pick them up. some time has to be invested. that invested time is what sets the price. Someone farming says “My time is worth X” and they then put an item on the AH and hope it sells.
this is a serious question? when gold is spread out more, as opposed to be hoarding by a few, this is what the economy lives on. the more people hoard, the less ‘liquid’ gold is available and this actually causes prices to increase.
All things aside, this has been a massive discussion relative to the stimulus checks we have received in the US. Many argue that the large corporation got to much and that money ISN’T going back into the economy and is being hoarded instead.
never suggested otherwise.
no they don’t. the boxers and the solo players are at odds with each other.
it’s been less profitable since node functionality was changed.
ah, perfect… so people were gouging because spawn rates were lower? this isn’t something MB would fix. So… it’s pointless relative to the discussion and your point.
These people like to twist definitions to match whatever agenda they have. They don’t care that something needs to be against the rules in order for it to be cheating.
