I am a Senior and play a MM/BM duel spec huntress. Been playing her since the tail end of Vanilla. Besides being in my mid 60’s, I am also a perceptual dyslexic, so certain fights and mechanisms used in the game become problems for me, and my condition also affects logic and memory both short & long term, so watching or reading raid fight videos (especially the multiple part ones) is pretty much null & void for me. My dyslexia also causes an astigmatism, and much slower response times. So w/ age & my dyslexia, I’m not the highest dpser out there, but I’m not the worst either. There are fights I’m strong in & others w/ balls, mazes, dances, etc., those kind I’ll never be strong in, but I do my best in them. I’m fully enchanted in my gear, and have all of my flasks, etc. for raiding. I also play a MM w/ a pet. I always hated when the lone wolf spec came out, and was happy when the new talent trees let us play the spec a bit like it used to be in the 1st place. I’m now LF a guild that doesn’t believe in Benching their raiders at all no matter how difficult future bosses get, and work w/ their team to get the bosses down. I don’t come online to not enjoy playing a game or feeling stressed out by dps and benching threats. I’m a grandmother and we all teach our children to include everyone in a game, but the practice of Benching anyone in a game is a form of bullying, and it makes the person feel totally humiliated and degraded. I’ve been in MANY guilds where they don’t Bench players at all, so I know they exist out there on Stormrage. I’m also of the belief in raids that a raid should end on time of the scheduled time and shouldn’t be pugged after that time after some members have to leave by Raid Leader to continue the raid w/ members who remained and they got pugs to finish a boss (This includes final bosses that are being worked on). The raid has set times, stick to them! I have also been an officer for many guilds both when I was back on Dunemaul and here on Stormrage. I was a recruitment officer for 8 guilds, Co-GMed one, and was a GM of one briefly of my own. Raiding is the 1 thing that I enjoy in this game because of the comradery in it, and I want it to be a very relaxed atmosphere. I generally do now N/H & some light Mythic (after AOTC to not get bored, but not expecting CE at all). I’m free M-F 7-10pm EST (can’t have any later end time, husband gets up 3am for work), but I prefer the days of T,W, Th so If I miss something, I can pug to make it up. Weekends I’m not free, spend time w/ my family then. I’m not a fan of M+ at all. Mostly all of my gear comes from raiding, and it depends on how difficult dungeon is if I’ll do it or not. I’m also not into PVP & just do BG weekly when it’s up. I’d also like a guild that’s very social, w/ people online during the daytime and on Discord. Not a fan of typing. I would also be bringing 5 alts w/ me that are just used for different professions (They don’t raid at all), and I have no desire to faction change or transfer to a different server at all. Got 1st piece of tier from vault, so up to 384 ilvl now. Still searching for a new guild on Stormrage. W/ guild-finder since over 1000 guilds listed, many don’t update their messages at all. place raid days & times in or place that info. at the top so it doesn’t get swallowed in the printout that’s seen on guild-finder. Also, some guilds that I have been trying to look into & ask for info. on w/ the “Who” tab seems to have some bug, cause every last guild I’ve tried to look up (even large ones) aren’t showing anyone at all online in them, so I know something is up w/ that tab. Essentially, I’d like to find a nice Social Casual progressive that has many members age 50+, doesn’t have elitest outlooks when it comes to raiding. I just want to feel comfortable in a game I’ve loved playing over 15 years, and an activity that I’ve always enjoyed doing w/ others.
