Much Better Direction

After perusing through GD as one does from time to time, a surge of typical doomer threads are surfacing. So, I’ll offer a happier take.

It’s funny, yet unsurprising that the small crowd of negativity enthusiasts want to hate on the game as it takes a much, much better direction.

Dragonflight mops the floor with Shadowlands. The game is fun again. Exploration is fun. Crafting is so much more engaging.

Dragonriding is excellent and makes the open world a joy to travel through, and flows really well with a gathering character. It also is a great way to help prevent bot outbreaks.

The talent trees, for the most part, are well done. Levelling alts is a joy.

The dungeons are solid. Really looking forward to the KSM grind this season, far more than SL.

The story feels grounded, and is so refreshing after the ****show that was Shadowlands, and what that expansion did narratively. Hints at more old God stuff is actually fantastic (if it goes anywhere)

I was a poster who had a hate-on for Shadowlands, big time. Outspoken hate toward many decisions made during that expansion.

Now, it is time for me at least to offer praise. The Devs have done an outstanding job in moving this game back on track and into a better direction.

So, for the Devs - cheers for putting some soul back into the game. It is genuinely fun to play now.

For the haters, malcontent no-lifers and doomers - you guys are always around, rain, hail or shine - nothing will sate your desire to be miserable, and therefore, nothing you whine about has much merit.

That is all, happy Dragonriding and good luck in the first week of the season to those getting into it!

Love this, did you make it up? If so, well done.

I wouldn’t have used so many words, but yes, very much this.

I am glad you can come to this decision in what? 2 weeks.
As annoying as you find people that do not like this expansion so far, and have given valid reasons, I find people that over obnoxiously praise everything just as annoying.

Why you here whining?

Huh… Praise is not whining lol

I agree with you for the most part, but not this.

I’m not looking forward to more dungeon re-runs from the past.
I’m not looking forward to re-learning them every 6 months.
I’m still not looking forward to being forced to group with horde. That’s a stupid concept.

Like, Court of Stars was a great dungeon. I’ll agree with that. But I want to run new dungeons like it. I don’t want to run it again.

So what makes you any different?

You say yourself that during shadowlands you had the same attitude towards the game.
Are you saying that you have a desire to be miserable?

Or is it that no one is allowed opinions that disagree with yours? When you were unhappy the game was bad and it needed to be spoken about. But now youre happy, people arent allowed to be critical.

I’m holding final verdict for the second patch, but launch has been really good to me. I’m looking forward to getting into the raid on Wednesday, but for now I have very important soup to make.

So, you are praising players that don’t like the expansion so far?

I really like DF so far. It reminds me of when I started playing and why I fell in love with this game.

Thing is, I remember really liking BfA too. Then it got weird.

BfA was like someone uses their fridge as a closet and then once a year or so, cleans it out by throwing everything in there all over the house.

It got so convoluted it was crazy. Then I started to see a bit of that, not as bad, in SLs. There were other things about SLs I didn’t like but I love those catbirds so there’s that.

Anyway, when I go back to BfA now, there’s no azerite, no corruptions, no horrific visions so I like it so much better now.

A simpler game with good stories is really all I’m looking for. That’s why I like DF so far.

It can still end up getting weird though. You just never know what’s going to happen.
Just so long as they keep it interesting, I guess it’ll be alright.

But that’s me. Others are going to want different things and when they don’t find them, they’re going to say something about it.
And that’s okay too.

Uh… no, not in the slightest. I’m praising the direction the game is going in and the product being presented now, as per my OP…

Taking jabs at the forever-whiners is also not the same, the distinction being that I am happy and they are forever miserable, and always will be, regardless of any change made.

See above, what makes me different is I appreciate the changes being made and the direction the game is heading in, VS the constant whining no matter what is offered.

I loathed Shadowlands, yet am able to praise the Devs when they put a W on the table.

The forever-whiners will find something to be upset about in spite of anything good. It is their purpose, and misery loves company.

Of course, it is the same. Glad to see you whining!

Lol, your understanding lacks… understanding. Funny guy though, keep on twisting your reality to what suits you

So if dragonflight wasnt something you liked, you would welcome the title of a

That

Really sounds to me that you just cant stand the idea that others might dislike things you do like

You are the one that lacks understanding. Keep on whining!

Of course it seems that way to you good sir, you seem like someone I may have described.

You admit that when it was shadowlands you were vocal about how bad you thought it was.
But now you like the game again, people who dislike it are a problem.

You can praise the game without attacking those who are unhappy with it.

But you cant fathom that other peoples opinions are valid.
Its either your way, or youre wrong.

Haha, the classic “no u”

You are a crack up, level 11 orc dude

You started this.

Nope bro you are.
