After perusing through GD as one does from time to time, a surge of typical doomer threads are surfacing. So, I’ll offer a happier take.
It’s funny, yet unsurprising that the small crowd of negativity enthusiasts want to hate on the game as it takes a much, much better direction.
Dragonflight mops the floor with Shadowlands. The game is fun again. Exploration is fun. Crafting is so much more engaging.
Dragonriding is excellent and makes the open world a joy to travel through, and flows really well with a gathering character. It also is a great way to help prevent bot outbreaks.
The talent trees, for the most part, are well done. Levelling alts is a joy.
The dungeons are solid. Really looking forward to the KSM grind this season, far more than SL.
The story feels grounded, and is so refreshing after the ****show that was Shadowlands, and what that expansion did narratively. Hints at more old God stuff is actually fantastic (if it goes anywhere)
I was a poster who had a hate-on for Shadowlands, big time. Outspoken hate toward many decisions made during that expansion.
Now, it is time for me at least to offer praise. The Devs have done an outstanding job in moving this game back on track and into a better direction.
So, for the Devs - cheers for putting some soul back into the game. It is genuinely fun to play now.
For the haters, malcontent no-lifers and doomers - you guys are always around, rain, hail or shine - nothing will sate your desire to be miserable, and therefore, nothing you whine about has much merit.
That is all, happy Dragonriding and good luck in the first week of the season to those getting into it!
